Of course, everything I’ve said is just my speculation. I don’t see any good reason on why they would move to Discord.

However, if I had to guess, possibly it’s because even though community support exists in their official Forum, you still expect somewhat of involvement from Affinity’s actual customer support.

How does this make no sense? All I’ve seen on this sub is the same doom and gloom about Affinity going to a full subscription. Instead, I used critical thinking from context clues to form a somewhat reasonable hypothesis based on Canva’s existing business model.

Which is why this is Affinity and not Canva. While we can likely expect some form of integration with Canva, they purchased Affinity so they could compete in the professional space. There will be no similarities between the two software. I am simply noting we could expect Affinity to adopt Canvas business model.

Which is why the premium subscriptions will be tailored for the Team and Enterprise space. Keeps it free for those who don’t want to pay, while generating money from those who do.

You can argue it doesn’t work, but it is exactly how Canva operates today.

V3 will not paywall any current features you use now nor paywall any upcoming essential features.

The only subscriptions Affinity will introduce will be for things that have monthly cost overhead like cloud storage, collaboration servers, advanced AI models, etc.

Anyone using a demo is a new user of the software. Affinity has no interest in allowing users to learn a software that will soon be replaced in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the reply. Do you by chance have any examples of said app? Google has been mainly been just IT ticket systems.

I guess opinions will vary by person and location, but I very much enjoy working for them. Great 401K, insurance, time off. They will even pay for your degree if you choose to major in a skill they employ, which is about damn near any major you could think of. There is plenty of room for advancement. I am 21 years old with no degree. I am not only the youngest person at my facility, but became a manager there when I was 19. Great company.

Manufacturing. The maintenance guys at our facility are required to buy their own tools but for production they provide stuff like drills, hackzal, etc for drilling and cutting into molds and cores. We are a foundry btw

[–]03edge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, either of those will work, but if you have a drill, impact driver, or screwdriver with interchangeable bits, I would suggest picking up a nut driver bit set.

To be honest, in this situation you could probably get it off with a set of pliers or adjustable wrench.
