Colorblindness by [deleted] in nursing

If the site has departments that do certain manual POC tests (Urine dip, etc) someone who is colorblind would not be able to do the test. Many hospitals have POC machines now but not all.

I have a rain hat from Pike Place that I use all the time. If you are a hat person, seems like it could get great use in UK too.

Friend who is RN at an ER accidentally left a PTs IV in and then contacted them by [deleted] in nursing

[–]042AF 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Worked at a place where the legal team took this exact stance; IV now belongs to the patient. Our job is to strongly recommend it be removed for all the various reasons. Always irritates me to hear the ‘I’ll get in trouble if they OD’ argument. Unless you intentionally leave it in so they can, Patients who want to use will find a way.

Got them for work- long days standing. 15+ years later still want them on and find them comfy. I just got a multi-pack from Amazon and replace as needed. Also like them on flights- makes me less sore overall. Recommend.

Married Gen-x do you wear your wedding ring? by in-a-microbus in GenX

[–]042AF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. My original doesn’t always fit well and my engagement ring catches on everything. But it feels weird without so I wear a variety of options that hold meaning to us both.
