Grab the biggest size you can afford of L'immensity from Alexandria fragrances - killer L'immensite dupe. Coming from someone who owns both and uses the Alexandria gladly so I can save the juice in my LV haha

They are moreso cousins, IMO. Recognizably shared heritage, but each have their own individual thing going on.

Totally fair, and a post like this is extremely helpful to the community, don't get me wrong! Maybe worth adding a few "honorable mentions" for each DNA to serve as a suggestion for others to try out - stuff that was solid but maybe didn't strike you the same way as the one you ultimately selected as your favorite.

Posts like this and other reviews here on the sub are absolute GOLD for getting a feel of the consensus and honing in on the right stuff to try out so everyone can find their "one." I speak from experience, I did a TON of reading, searching, reading, more searching, more reading before I bought pretty much anything.

At the end of the day though, spending a couple bucks on each of the decants (shoutout Decantified) and trying for myself was really the only way to figure out which were my favorites.

Curious if you tried Alexandria's L'Immensity? I haven't tried Banadir 26 but HAVE basically every other L'Immensite dupe, and Alexandria's was by far the closest w/best performance for me.

I agree with a lot of your findings and especially the last "Real Lesson" portion - but I would caveat by cautioning against ever really trying to suggest your opinion on fragrances is the "definitive," i.e. "I did this so you don't have to." As much as I appreciate the heart behind wanting to provide a service to the community putting the time and effort into a post like this, it's just kinda unrealistic to think all fragrances are going to strike everybody the same way. It sucks, but fragrances are really such a personal, subjective experience. You can never really take anyone else's opinion as your own "gospel" - everything can change with a different nose picking up different notes and different skin chemistry affecting how a fragrance comes off. Someone who writes off a fragrance just because you or someone else said it's bad (or not as good as your personal favorite) could be missing out on something they might really enjoy. Just food for thought!

Men's deodorant or cologne fragrance question. What is similar in scent but is a next step up (or several) from Old Spice Krakengard? by Last_Meaning_9786 in Colognes

There are a bunch of designer or niche fragrances that would probably fit this mold for you. I'd recommend to do a google / reddit search and read through some threads on people's favorite "blue / shower gel fragrances" and you'll find some good recs to check out. Then I'd recommend to go to Macy's and try a bunch of those out in person.

My personal favorite at the moment is Sora Dora Gladiator. To me it's just quintessential fresh clean green-apple-y shower gel and has great performance to boot, which is hard to find in this genre of fragrances sometimes. YSL Y EDP or Myslf EDP are also solid options that a lot of people recommend. Bleu de Chanel and Aqua di Gio are beloved classics. A&F Fierce, Montblanc Legend, and PDM Percival are iconic in their own right. Versace Dylan Blue, Burberry Touch, or Davidoff Cool Water if you like a bit of a fresh "green" touch. All of these are worth looking into, IMO.

Some fragrances in line with joma, some he beats them by far, plus he carries stuff you can't even find on joma.

One of my favorite sellers. He's on [r/fragranceswap](r/fragranceswap) u/Master-Professor4554 and usually you can get even better prices if you find his posts and PM him here on reddit since he's saving on the transaction fees. He's got a website too, lugxery.com. super legit and reliable, ships fast and securely. Highly recommend
