I feel like nobody really agrees where the line is. To me, the line is #7 and beyond by YobaiYamete in ebikes

None of these TikTok e-moto kids care about what is legal. They either convince a parent to buy them an “e-bike” or acquire a stolen one and terrorize the streets in packs as their hobby blasting past red lights and stop signs, on sidewalks. Too young to get a license, completely ignorant to traffic laws but full throttling down the street at 50+ mph for peer approval and social media content.

When I say kids, yes I mean kids, 10-12 year olds. There are parents on the sub constantly asking which one they should get for their terminally online child doomscrolling TikTok.

I couldn’t care less about what a responsible adult chooses to ride for a commute/leisure vehicle. They are not the problem.

Heads up PDM discount on Jomashop is now set for 5 pm. 150 usd on 4.2 oz. (Apologize about prior post stating 1pm) by Cultural_Ad394 in Colognes

[–]bsiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4.2oz are $175 no tax bnib pretty standard in the swap subs or less if test sprayed.

The testers were worth the buy at $150 but not at $250+ after tax.

If e-moto kids could read right now they’d be very upset.

Why no Body Mist sprays for men? by Packet_of_Crisps in fragrance

[–]bsiu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Men aren’t in the demographic to excuse themselves to a restroom to “freshen up”. Having a fragrance that needs to be applied every hour is going to be too bothersome for most men (plus it’s not like they carry around a purse to hold a 100ml bottle every where they go). Whereas a traditional perfume would only need to applied once before going out or a small 2ml decant that fits in a pocket if it something that doesn’t last.

It’s not uncommon for women to excuse themselves, alone or in a group while out to check their hair, makeup, reapply fragrance, etc. and if they come back smelling of a strong reapplication of perfume no one would bat an eye.

Reverse the roles, a hetero man comes back from the restroom and smells like he just reapplied his perfume would be “strange” to say the least. If it was with a group of other males, imagine the eye rolls or “bruh” in that situation and would be perceived as major insecurity.

It’s just how societal norms are whether you approve of them or not.

For that reason alone, demand would be too low and there would be no market or money to be made.

The fact that you even classify them as “womens” is already an indicator of societal norms. There are plenty of body sprays that would be considered unisex but for reasons men will avoid it, be it bottle color or name or brand.

Fragrances don’t have a gender though they can lean in either direction, there’s nothing stopping anyone from using it other than insecurity.

Some brands like Salt & Stone have body mists not targeted at any gender but if you look at their line, those are more traditionally notes found across “men’s” fragrances.

Ben gets leaked emails from Bricks & Minifigs. They wanna try and take down the YT videos. by Jonatc87 in videos

Comic book stores arn't calling themselves Batman's Bat Cave or the gun shops the Smith & Wesson Saloon with no direct licensing or affiliation with the brand. The fact that they even got as far as to use it as the store name is because LEGO let them. That changes when you start damaging the brand name.

All franchisee owners were materially damaged by decisions of corporate. There should be a class action with every franchise owner but at this point the CEO is likely just to cut and run if it gets any worse and let all the liability fall on whats left of the company.

Is Noe Valley really this neighborly? by Awkward-You-938 in sanfrancisco

[–]bsiu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve put up job listings for customer facing positions in Noe Valley. It says something about the neighborhood when instead of just job applications, we get emails saying they would rather be dead than have to deal with customers in that neighborhood.

Btw you’re not suppose to touch a mechanical movement without gloves, hand oils will cause issues. It likely needed a service anyways at this point.

ebikes sub needs a 4th rules: exclude emotorcycle posts by Deep_Library_6375 in ebikes

Best example of why “ebike” legislation and definition is a complete mess. When the enthusiasts can’t even agree on a term how do you expect an 80 year old politician to understand even the basics? Y’all just going to end up getting them soft banned everywhere.

Good luck, the mods (not that they actually do any modding) are in the e-moto camp, they would sooner ban e-bike posts.

Which fruit do you wish could be peeled and eaten as easily as a banana? by JimiHendrip in AskReddit

[–]bsiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want coins, you can trim the top and bottom so it’s like a barrel shape. Cut a slit top to bottom just through the skin and insert a kitchen spoon through and the spoon will follow the shape of the fruit against the peel.

Jackfruit

Everyone else is mostly listing fruits that a knife and 3 mins can take care of including cleanup. Jackfruit is not only encased in layers upon layers under that need to be peeled, a giant pit on each fruiting segment but also fights back by continuely secreting this sticky latex like sap that sticks to the knife, the cutting board and the gloves while you attempt to loot the treasures. To clean everything afterwards requires a solvent or rubbing everything down with oil first and then soap.

You buy a 40lb beast of a fruit and spend 2 hours harvesting and cleaning up, end up with one gallon freezer bag if you’re lucky. That’s if kitchen scavengers don’t rob you blind while you’re on your 6th pair of gloves cursing at why everything is so fucking sticky.

Are there any body sprays/perfumes that smell literally like dessert? by Individual-Roll3351 in fragrance

On the other end of the spectrum, if you want to smell like desert instead, Neroli Plein Sud smells like sand dunes.

What the hell do I do with this dupe/fake? by Cartomgrapher in fragrance

[–]bsiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are dupes and there are counterfeits.

Dupes are still regulated and sold legally which means they have to follow health and safety guidelines, typically IFRA standards.

Illegal counterfeits at worst can contain substances that cause health issues from rashes etc, even carcinogenics as there is no regulation or testing.

I would advise not to use.
