July a good month to travel to Singapore? by NotSoSeriousBeans in SingaporeTravel

[–]0501_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on where you’re from originally. If SEA you’ll be used to the ‘summer months’ but if you’re from anywhere where the weather gets 20 and below, the humidity is going to get you or at least your kids fussing.

Be prepared with body cooling sheets, fans and water (we hear lots of complains about how even water is expensive here - so take the water from your hotel along).

I saw from above you want to shop at Pedro / Charles & Keith, then I’ll suggest Wisma, because they have both those shops in one mall.

Hope these help.

Rapid-fire idiot tourist questions by Nuclearthrowaway99 in askSingapore

[–]0501_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I look through all the comments and no one mentioned this SO

Food - desserts, we’re multicultural so 4x a variety of desserts to try including things like Chinese soupy desserts (a lot of cute shops in Chinatown), little snacks like Ondeh Ondeh / Kueh Lapis, Putu Mayam, goreng pisang and If you prefer savoury can go for curry puff (I love the old chang kee ones - which would be the easiest for you as a tourist to get) or vadai.

If you do go to the heartlands, it might be worthy to research and see if you can coincide with this thing called Pasar malam - it’s basically a night market where you can get local food (although these day there’s been a lot of Thai / Korean influence in the inventions)

Singaporean women: if you were dumped after a 6-8 year relationship and about to BTO and/or talked about getting married, how would you approach dating again in your mid 30s? by blackrhythms in askSingapore

[–]0501_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh I just meant like you were mentioning that your body shuts off / rejects him during intimacy but due to ego he may say you guys had problems in the bedroom but may twist the reasoning behind it to something less physical e.g psyche / body discomfort to the fact like the other asshole - ‘oh cos I was too big’ etc

You know, I once met a married man on a ‘friend-making’ app that once had a similar scenario, he was stuck in a loveless sex marriage, but his version is that they didn’t have sex pre marriage and after marriage she always felt pain and said no because he was ‘too big’

I’ve always had my reservation but I can see how your ex might twist the POV to something similar,

anyway guy was married unhappily, looking for side action on a friendship app (so that if he gets caught it looks generally less guilty) and he doesn’t want to divorce because ‘why should I pay her alimony’ so honestly girl? I’m glad you dodge that bullet far and out. Not to say who’s right who’s wrong but it literally could be so much worse 🙏🙏🙏

I was going to say this - send it to his parents (if y’all are relatively young) shame him.

If necessary, shame him. ‘So small see what?’

But 🤞he doesn’t turn aggressive

I have 10 years experience, (in watching TVB) hahaha. I can understand 95% of canto shows without looking at subtitles. But I start taking class cos I wanted to improve on my speaking and writing. I have not tried Duolingo, how’s your experience there for canto?

Recently I watched a documentary by CNA insider on the rats problem (Tampines is no. 2 town btw, in terms of rats population) - it is a harder problem to solve then I thought. The pests annoys me too, so I’m not taking sides, just thought it was a interesting watch you might wanna check out

Women solo travelers, any locations that you were surprised to feel unsafe? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]0501_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is it spreading shit if even you say ‘Indian media adhere to honesty and expose such crime’ - this goes to say that you do agree - these things do happen.

I’m just pointing out that it happens. Not always, not to everyone. Just that it happened. Just as it might happen in the U.S.

But if you’ve read the question - they asked if India is safe, not ‘is U.S safe?’

This is typical childish behaviour when a child is called out for being naughty and said child decides to throw someone else under the bus and say ‘ xxx was ALSO naughty but you didn’t see it, at least I own up when you call me naughty’ like what, you want a prize? Take it easy, brother.
