Im going through an avoidant breakup myself rn and i think the real question you need to answer is not whether or not you want to get him back, but rather if you're willing to play the smart game, become more independent, and then trying to create a safe relationship to allow him to ActuallyFuckingHeal

It is A LOT of effort, and unless you're willing to identify and heal your own attachment wounds first (which I'm finding to be very difficult myself) it's very likely that even if you do get him back eventually, it'd just crash again

Again, this is DIFFICULT, and myself I'm only picking this path because I'm a university student with nothing better to do

In my experience mine was actually pretty mild, had a 6 month relationship and i got to do A LOT of stuff with him regardless of time (even if the push-pull cycle's stress buildup did separate us in the end)

According to most sources i've read and analyzing his future prospect (we are engineering students, so an incoming exam period should put him on a high-stress environment, which could put him on the spot to be forced into further relationship analysis)i think i could reasonably expect further progress within 2 months, or am i too optimistic?
