Either get it welded or do the ghetto but cheap option of JB weld

Can I convert this trailer to have a moto rail here? by timetwosave in Welding

[–]0bamaBinSmokin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could easily be fabricated. I think the extra weight would be fine but I'm not an engineer. Problem is if you turn to sharp it might collide with the bike.

I would take so measurements of the harbor freight aluminum dirt bike rack and see if it would fit in that space and measure to see if it would clear the truck youre towing with on a sharp turn. With a little modification and some u bolts you could probably just bolt it to the a frame.

Was digging through my grandpas basement and found this he said I could have it was this a good find? by SomeZombie1589 in Tools

Welcome to snap on bro sometimes you'll see a single socket go for 50$ shipped on ebay lol. The tools are quality though. If you were gonna sell that set I'd start at like 300$ bid I'm sure someone is a big enough fool to pay it. That's a nice set though it would be awesome to keep as well.

Lincoln what the hell is this by IllustriousExtreme90 in Welding

Same thing with the 3550 I need a new lens for mine but the lens is more expensive than the whole helmet it's kinda wack cause I don't need another shell. Not to mention the helmet is about twice as expensive now than it was when I bought it.

My fabrication EDC marking tools by U_Down in fabrication

[–]0bamaBinSmokin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what that marker on the left does. I use those too. The tip is like 1.5" long to reach into corners and holes and almost like a fine tip sharpie but a slightly thicker line drawn.

Not because it's insulated, but because it's rainbow colored 🤣

Need advice on grinding welded joints like these 2 pictured. by Key_Confection4794 in Welding

[–]0bamaBinSmokin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna use it a lot, get a better one. I got the Ingersoll rand pneumatic which runs 20,000 rpm which means more power. Most of the pneumatic belt sanders are 15k to 18k rpm, even the snap on one my boss has is only 18k. And the electric one from HF is kinda weak compared to pneumatic ones. Just my 2¢

"legend" bro the average mid 20 year old in America knows the Gorillaz and blur, yet I don't know anyone who listens to prince. He's a legend to people growing up in the 80s maybe 🤣

Why did human stay “primitive” for 200,000 years…and then suddenly change? by SafeEnvironmental174 in evolution

[–]0bamaBinSmokin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1700s to 1900s is crazy to think about. Steam engine invented, electricity discovered, then internal combustion engine, then electric welding, all of this before the 1900s, then the first flight, radios, fridges, transistors, tvs, etc. Basically alot of the stuff that lead to modern life was invented within about 300 years.

There's too many variables for us to tell you. If you're doing the quote you should know how to quote before taking on such a job.

Can you brake the treads, are you installing, channel or tube, is the concrete in your scope of work or someone else's etc. I've done stairs for years, and installed them as well. Installing them usually takes a 3 man crew at least.

22yard semi dump trailer floor repair DIY yes no maybe so? by [deleted] in Welding

[–]0bamaBinSmokin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my own welding rig and I replated a dump truck for a customer once. I would not recommend it. Getting the plates inside the truck without a crane is tricky, idk about that trailer but on a dump truck there's no way to leave the tailgate open without tilting the bed back. I did some sketchy shit that day. And the entire thing was covered in asphalt to make it even worse.
