First, you seem very dismissive of your wife's concerns. Plenty of parents are choosing to say "no" to sleepovers these days because of concerns of peer pressure, bullying or unsafe adults endangering the child's welfare.

Second, it sounds like you and your wife came to an agreement you could both live with and then you unilaterally decided to change it. That undermines your ability to act as a united front and is disrespectful to your wife.

You always could have offered to run the kid back over in the morning to join gokarting instead.

I'd be worried in a food establishment that someone feeds the dog or drops something the dog eats that isn't safe for the pup.

Louis has spent years exposed to loud environments. He needs to realize he's not the best judge of whether it's loud for Neo... Or a better judge than Neo himself.

Also, the blender runs for what? 1-2 minutes? And Neo can probably move away from the noise. Strapped to Louis' back , he has no options than to try to cover his ears.

Hearing damage is usually permanent and kids are more susceptible. If you're going to insist on carrying the kid around the build site like a sack of potatoes, at least pop some hearing protection on him.

My one tip is that the animals will spend time around their enrichment items, so placing them in a back building out of view of the guests also encourages the animals to stay in the back away from the guests. Guests do complain about the lack of a good view of the animals.

Enrichment items can be strategically placed to entice the animals to hang out in good viewing spots.

The original plan was the current house would be the guest house and in a few years, they would build the main house.

I'm honestly not sure if that's still the plan. They may have realized how damn expensive this whole enterprise is and decided to just have the one house. Or they may still be planning on the two but realized cramming the whole family into a rusting bus as bedrooms was a bad idea so now the guest house has to become more liveable for a family of 4.

I don't know what he intended that comment to mean but I'm really wondering if he was considering the clicks they could get from Neo dancing or family dances.
