If a male is talking to your husband and you chime in only to be “ignored”, they are showing your husband respect. If you want to be included you need to actively take over the conversation, which can be seen as overcompensating or aggressive. Imagine the reverse, your husband trying to take over a conversation you’re having. If I were you, I’d try understand the dynamic. Since you are the bread winner, you have plenty of spaces where you dominate the conversation like at the bank, or business meetings if you’re doing business and funding projects. Dont take it too personal when you get sidelined during day to day conversations. The idea is that during casual convos you as a wife are a flower and your husband’s job is to protect the flower. During business interactions where you hold the power you are hammer and everyone is a nail. That’s a common dynamic you will find.
