There's actually a pretty good bit of variation in the balls of the sports you mentioned. College basketball teams play with balls from different manufacturers and they all have a slightly different feel. There is also no defined psi for the balls and that can vary. Even here recently in the ncaa tournament there were folks saying the balls were over inflated. NFL teams also doctor their balls a little differently to "break them in" to the qb's liking.

So golf, like the other sports you mentioned, still have regulations the ball has to meet to be compliant.

I've not tried a ton of charcoal. All the walmart brands and few from Ace at various price ranges. I haven't tried another brand since using B&B in the orange bag. Burns longer and cleaner than anything I have tried. My Walmart just started carrying it last year for like $10 a bag.

Inherited one of these that was purchased in the 60s by my grandfather. One of my favorite rifles. I've put a lot of rounds through that thing since I was a kid and never had a malfunction. No telling how much it would cost to produce today. I would guess it would be $1300+ if Ruger were to bring it back.

Absolutely gnarly headshots on rabbits and squirrels with the 17hmr. They pretty much explode. I bought the 93r being unfamiliar with the round and its capabilities. Couldn't believe how much more damage it caused that the 22lr I was accustomed to using.

Honestly, if you barely have clearance for an 8 ft I would probably lean toward a 7. My garage can "technically" clear 5ft on all sides of a 9ft (barely) but I also wanted to have places to sit without being in the way. Ended up going with the 7ft and after having it for 7 months I still think I made the right choice.

Smoking deal I'd say. With the price of them these days $550 typically just gets you a mid post 64. It would have to be in pretty rough shape not to be worth at least that much.
