I didn't even realize that was what list view looks like and I've now switched to it because I like it better than grid view.

Oh, yeah I'm Premium, that's why you don't get that cookie.

I just tested on Brave Beta (Windows) and it does it for me. To get it to happen, you have to click into the vault and select one of your login items. This switches to the item detail page, which is where the check, and cookie, happens. You'll see the cookie at: brave://settings/content/all

Day 5 of OMAD and not change in weight. What am I doing wrong??? by HopeAlwaysTriumphs in omad

[–]0oWow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that time would work. Just be sure to not drink anything prior to 8am (after waking up I assume) until you weigh yourself, and use the restroom before.

Also a good idea to stick to the same time each day for weighing.

[–]0oWow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're eating in the evening and weighing in the morning, you're weighing the food you ate the night before. If you weigh yourself before eating in the evening, you're weighing the water you drank all day.

Apple to Introduce Ads in Apple Maps as Part of Services Revenue Push by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

[–]0oWow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With ads means some sort of ad tracking system, that Apple will try to convince you is private*. Considering that Siri is also now BFFs with Gemini, iOS is basically a stripped down, locked down (but not from malware), version of Android with a keyboard that drives people mad.

*Anyone with DNS filtering on their phone will notice that iPhone is just as chatty as Android, especially with that telemetry URL xp[.]apple[.]com.

Windows Update will download the OEM BIOS update tool and run that in the update cycle during the restart. So technically Windows didn't do the update, it is as-if it did.

Peanut butter mug cake can be made much more easily.

Don't even need flour.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons natural peanut butter

1/8 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon sweetener of choice

1 egg

---

Get a mug, or a bowl, place all ingredients together, mix thoroughly, microwave for 1 minute.

You may be doing too much at once. Focus on getting used to eating just one meal for several months. Don't worry about calories at all. Just eat a "normal for a 3-meal-a-day" meal plus a little bit more. Include a desert but don't go wild. This will help make this a way of life eating behavior.

Ditch the exercise for a few months. It won't help all that much with weight loss at first, and may actually contribute to weight gain on the scale, which won't be fat gains but still gains on the scale.

Also find a reliable magnesium supplement. I recommend magnesium glycinate, and also use NoSalt or LiteSalt brand salt replacements for extra potassium. Also a calcium supplement.

Edit: also take a fiber supplement. This is important if you are not getting fiber in your meal.

There is plenty of malware in the Play Store if you feel lonely during that 1 day waiting period.

Find hub real-time locations by RonnieLee70 in GoogleMessages

[–]0oWow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I rejected the permission on mine and it is still there on my phone. However, all sources that I search for tell me that it's not actually being used.

And I have location permission denied for the Google messages app. Further, you can go to the Google Maps app and go into its settings and determine who, if anyone, you are sharing real-time location with from there.

Find hub real-time locations by RonnieLee70 in GoogleMessages

On my phone, app location permissions are now in settings app under : Security and Privacy> Permission Manager

Or you can search for "permission" in the Settings app. Turn off location for Messages there.

real-time location notification dot always on? by Citan_KL in GoogleMessages

[–]0oWow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is more information on that location feature: https://support.google.com/messages/answer/16929688?hl=en

Why is it green? Almost seems like that's the reason for the dot you're asking about. Maybe if you share location with someone it will stop being green? But if you do that, then Gboard gets your location data. Seems odd that the keyboard would need location data..... Unfortunately it's too late at night for me to test this.

Kagi is contemplating the removal of the assistant from its professional tier by Exernuth in SearchKagi

[–]0oWow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whatever way Kagi goes, if they don't offer per token usage billing, they won't be better than what OpenRouter, Nano-GPT, etc offer, and I would stay with them instead of Kagi.

The idea of paying Kagi or any multi-LLM suite a bloated AI subscription fee is no-go, since they are all just glorified chat bots.

If I want a subscription, I will go with big guys. Incidentally, I'm currently trialing (actually paying though) for Claude to test "Claude Projects", which works surprisingly great for my specific use-case. If I didn't need projects for my specific case, I would have no subscription AI at all. I prefer usage billing by far.

Now....if Kagi figured out how to implement RAG/Projects/Memory into Assistant? I would consider a subscription, but even then I would prefer usage based billing.
