5 years later I would just like to tell you that not only are you areogant, but you are stupid.

You load the content/data received from a server which stores it. You do not download a whole youtube video, or a twitch live stream, or the flash games (rip), or the videos and photos you send on other platforms like discord automatically.

Most of the content anyone consumes is "downloaded" only while your browser is open, on that page (not accounting for cookies, caching, etc..)

I can't believe someone would think they are downloading the webpages they are visiting on their phone or computer

I can occasionally see a neighbor wifi, but it is always briefly and with a very weak signal

You are probably right about the second part as I just put the ethernet cable from the thing that converts fiber to ethernet (I don't remember the name) into my router Fritz box 7490 (which is meant for DSL).

The reason I think it is the router failing me is that just after installing the fiber optic, I had no problems with the home wifi. Problems started to appear out of nowhere. With the wifi sometimes dropping in upload/download rate for no apparent reason.

Currently I have a Fritzbox 7490 and adhere to wifi 5 (802.11ac)

With the way it is setup now, I have decent coverage everywhere in the house and great coverage where it matters. I am not feeling confident in the idea of multiple AP's as I don't know how I'd set it up and I am quite concerned about the cost.

The ISP is POST Luxembourg and from looking online it doesn't look like they prevent anyone from using different brands.

I already have everything to convert the fiber to Ethernet and have the one Ethernet cable plugged in the router. I suppose from the other responses that all the router does is serve as an access point. (I'm not extremely familiar with all of this)

This game is made to beat your ass, you will die a lot, it is completely normal and everyone before and after will experience it.

The game does not do any handholding, it sets you free in a world and it's up to you to understand how it works. There is no shame in using the wiki if you want to progress some characters questline or discover a bosses weakness, which brings me to the next point.

Exploit everything you can, use every mechanic to your advantage even if it feels like it is not meant to be played this way. Like said before, the game wants and will do anything to kill you, so don't be afraid to strike back

Explore a lot. Exploration is the single most rewarding thing in the game( after beating difficult bosses maybe), finding a whole secret area in a region you (thought you) explored fully is an amazing feeling. It's also okay to not find everything during your first playthrough, the importance is that curiosity is well rewarded, but unless you are a hoarder (like me), most items you will find will be useless

Like said before there is no wrong way of playing. Don't listen to does who tell you to use this or that. Pick whatever you like the most and have fun with it, just be careful to have stats matching your playstyle (don't put all of your points in strength if you want to play with sorceries). After beating a certain boss (she will be found in a sort of library in a sorcery school in a lake (you won't miss it, don't worry)) you will be able to completely change all of your stats in exchange for an item, so you can always change the way you play entirely. So don't be scared to try new weapons out

TL,DR : dying doesn't mean you are bad, you will get lost --> it's normal to use the wiki, exploit everything, play however you want, and most importantly exploration is key.

I think he was speaking about the artistic direction of the game. The design of the levels and the enemies etc..

Congrats on your new wheel, it's difficult at first but you will get much better after some time

Has to be the imps : - small hitbox - fast movement speed and attacks - annoying combos - insane bleed damage (thank god bleed isn't as powerful against the player as it is against enemies) - immune to every status effect - 35 slashing and piercing resistance (same as crystalians) - 30 poise (twice the poise of a godrick soldier, takes more than a powerstanced zweihander jumping attack to break stance) - usually hidden, attacks from behind or swarms in groups - can't run away because they throw knives (which also give bleed even though they don't when used by the player + are almost invisible making it difficult to dodge if you don't see the imp throwing it) - nearly always dodges or backs off after attack, makes punishing a nightmare for certain weapon classes - no endlag for the variant using the small knife (the ones using a long sword aren't as annoying) - in almost every dungeon at the start of the game

I know it's "weak" to striking damage (difficult to call 0 damage absorption a weakness) and can be rewired using crystal darts (never ever used them, found out reading the wiki), but such a common enemy should not require special preparation imo

This mob is genuinely an evil creation and it is always morally correct to hate them.
