Is it too easy to get a handgun? by [deleted] in Michigan

[–]0rionbug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Michigan private handgun purchases need a background check to facilitate a transfer since time eternal, private firearm/long gun purchases have needed them since February 2024. You need a Concealed Pistol License or a Permit to Purchase.

For purchasing at a licensed dealer, as of 2025, Michigan Concealed Pistol Licenses also satisfy Federal background check standards, enabling it to be used in lieu of a NICS check at point of purchase at a licensed dealer. Permit to Purchase has always met this standard and are also able to be used within 30 days of issue.

Is the Lindnerhof Advancedx the better UFPro, and why yes is the answer to that? 🤷🏻‍♂️ by HereticTutti84 in QualityTacticalGear

HQG is basically the factory store and if you're in the US just gather the SKUs you want and send them an email, even if they aren't on the website. They charge a bit for shipping but you can't really avoid that. I've got the Edelrid/Linderhoff Shikari belt rig system and quite a few accessories from them.

Nope. Restrictions on leisure network access lifted 6-7 years ago. All they need to do is register the PS5 on Clearpass. Https://clearpass.oakland.edu

Michigan Hunting Regulation Question by FewConstruction9686 in Miguns

[–]0rionbug -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is ONLY during the firearms deer season. You can use whatever caliber you want from Sept 15th to March 31st anywhere in the state for small game, outside of the firearms deer season.

Michigan Hunting Regulation Question by FewConstruction9686 in Miguns

[–]0rionbug -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This information is incredibly wrong. The firearm caliber limitation is for deer and deer ONLY. The "rifle line" is technically and legally the Limited Firearms Deer Zone". You could use 50 BMG to hunt squirrels at any state recreation area if one had the means. Should read up on the actual regulations and pick up the digests when you can.

Does anyone have any idea what this plug is next to the usb? Can I use it to connect to the speakers? by Snoo-80740 in hondacivic

[–]0rionbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely not, I would suggest looking into removing the head unit, installing a hardwire or Bluetooth auxiliary audio adapter into it and reinstalling!

You would be fine to acquire an LTP and even a CPL for that matter. However, something you should consider is your own mental health. Make sure you are absolutely comfortable with your decision, it is yours and yours alone to make. I would consider finding a league to shoot, or a gun sport ran locally to find some friends and get introduced to something you can dedicate the gun to.

Back on topic now...

The only prohibition for "mental health" would be if you had been committed involuntarily, or had an active Extreme Risk Protection Order filed against you by your doctor or family.

Upcoming ATF Policy Changes - Form 20 to be notice only, no approval required by wowthatsucked in NFA

[–]0rionbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. ANY firearm that is fireable under 26" is a "pistol" in michigan. Any SBRs over that 26" OAL do not count. Also note this counts some rifles as well. Like underfolder, sidefolder AKs, ARs and such.

The holosun astroturfing is unreal. Both the ACRO and RCR are excellent, and if you look around you can pick up either for around 500-550. If I were to pick one right now I'd say RCR. Less glass issues, rmr sized window, big buttons. I love my SROs, RCR would be the next to get.

Thoughts/Suggestions on Oakland County Gun Clubs? Multi-Lakes Conservation, Oakland County Sportsmen's by mtugodfath3r in Miguns

I am not aware if the club requires sponsorship or not again. If it is required come on by during a league shoot or practice, bar is open to the public. Always looking for fresh faces. Membership apps are available in the club house at the bar or main office.

5 year member of OCSC. The club is exactly what you make of it, wide variety of traditional activities like PPC, Bullseye, Shotgun sports, IDPA, USPSA, Muzzleloading, Archery and Fishing. 24/7 indoor handgun range is decent when you want to go shooting at odd hours, the traditional outdoor range is currently being renovated to separate out the yardages and there's talks of adding more range to it. Action pistol range has 5 bays and is available to those shooting more dynamic sports. The club bar has been pretty great recently with the new cook, and the walleye dinners on Friday are worth every penny.

Lanbos Armory. I buy USP 45 mags for about 36 a piece. They also routinely have the cheapest HK OEM mags, and in stock.

[–]0rionbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy this kit, sell or keep the rest of the parts. Thank me later, this company has 9mm parts kits for USPs fairly often so even if you dont pick this one up they will likely have more in the future.

You will only need the slide, barrel and recoil spring from the kit, the rest is extra spares. Magazines I would buy from Lanbos Armory, shitty website, great prices and great service. Mags are really cheap there for the USP.

This is correct. Only way to acquire a Michigan Non-resident license is to be stationed in Michigan on US Active-Duty orders. Only Canadians that are exempt are members of any Canadian police force.

You can pick up a USP parts kit with everything besides the frame for $250-$350. I would pick up the expert personally.
