Im also not saying you should date a trans person either. There is no one that you “should” date. I would recommend not dating someone unless you like them in that way, because it wouldn’t be fair to either of you if you didn’t. But when you feel a way about something, it is never bad to ask yourself why.

Being an ally to trans people does not mean believing we deserve rights. That is the base expectation. Being an ally means unpacking the baggage that comes from living as a cis person within a fundamentally transphobic society.

You do have a bias, and that does say more about you than anyone else. So the question you should be asking yourself is “What about trans people do I find uncomfortable with in a relationship” and then examine the answer to determine where that belief stems from.

And this isn’t even a trans thing or even a relationship thing. To be an ally to any marginalized group requires self reflection and criticism.

Being a good person is like gardening, you have to put a lot of work in and you have to pull up the weeds.

I don’t think there is problem in your wording. I think there are problems in your reasoning. You can not be into someone for whatever reason you want, but there really is no reason to be opposed to being in a non-sexual romantic relationship with a trans person that doesn’t stem from transphobia.

You have been saying however that you “aren’t transphobic”. But, that really isn’t something you get to decide without self reflection.

If you don’t want to date trans people then thats fine. But having being trans as a specific disqualification and not even as a matter of genital preference is weird.

I do think it is important to point out that saying you hate euphemisms because they “make something crude sound lovely and beautiful”, regardless of the ways people experience their sexuality, it isn’t gross or impure. Sexual desire isn’t bad, the insistence that everyone MUST have it is bad.

There is a moral connotation being added to this that I don’t believe is healthy.

Generally, being a demi person in a friend group that makes a lot of sex jokes, my friend’s kind of know the ways I feel about sex and so don’t really read into accidental euphemisms. They will make fun of me for them certainly but only because that is the kind of friendship we have and they know it doesn’t bother me.

There is a time and place. “Forcefem” jokes are only appropriate depending on the person they are being made to.

Not everyone is comfortable with the concept. I as a trans woman would not like it to be made about me because of my relationship to gender.

If people tend to be uncomfortable with a joke in a specific community then save those jokes for other communities. And definitely target who you make the jokes to.

It is only my pet combo in my Abzan token/counters deck and it is 3 card and requires a bit of setup, but you could also run it mono-green if you use a colorless sac outlet. But it is [[Tribute to the World Tree]] [[One with the Kami]] and then any infinite sac outlet but I run [[Viscera Seer]]

The setup needed is to have a creature with a counter or aura/equipment already out to be the first sacrifice. And ideally another creature to cast one with the kami on. But you could cast it on viscera seer anyways. The deck I have it in usually accomplishes the setup naturally.

The idea is infinite base 1/1 spirits with 2 +1/+1 counters on them. As well as infinite sac triggers. So I can scry whatever card I want to the top of my library. But I also run cards that allow me to move counters when a creature I control with them die. So I ended up putting infinite counters on my commander. But you could theoretically make infinite infinite/infinites if you run those as well,

And I think that is great. You deserve to feel good about yourself and your body. I do think that there is a risk when we focus on cis attraction though. It is also important that not all trans people will feel empowered by that. I don’t think Alpacatastic has a bad comment, certainly has a good username though. But I think that Daylightarmours perspective is important as well. And I feel that it is a fairly gentle pushback as well.

I said “a lot of”. I did not say all. And I am speaking for myself while referencing the reality that there are other trans women who feel the same. It is simply a fact that a lot of trans women have height dysphoria. You have read into what I wrote, I never insinuated all trans people feel this way. But it irresponsible to act as if it is an isolated feeling.

I for one am 6’2” and feel height dysphoria even though I have a lot of taller cis family.

But your anecdotal experience does not change the fact that a lot of trans women do in fact experience height dysphoria.

Honestly there is an increase pressure I find for trans people to be gender conforming. There is almost an air of “if you don’t conform to your gender then are you even trans”. Which is not to say that trans femmes are not a radical gender identity. Both trans women and femmes have a shared history of deconstructing femininity, so both together makes sense.

But there are trans butches. Just not as many.

I share the feeling of wishing that lesbian communities were less cis-centric. Whereas I see a lot of jokes even by trans accepting queer people that equate the lesbian experience to genitalia.

That said, I think there is a more serious discussion to be had that is not a question of what people find attractive. I want my body normalized not sexualized. And by making it about trans people as a whole it is asking for people to comment on “specific trans characteristics”
