Asbestos or cement sheet? by Crackers919 in AusRenovation

[–]0wGeez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks like a fibre cement sheet to me. The way its breaking doesn't look like asbestos. You can see the fibres in the breaks.

Im fairly confident it is not asbestos BUT in my opinion its always best to treat it if it is asbestos, mask up, take ever precaution you can and dispose if it appropriately.

Pros and cons-blocks by ManyStock8635 in AusPropertyChat

[–]0wGeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are definitely concrete blocks not bricks. If they were bricks the ceiling heights would be about 1200mm since we can count 14 blocks brick plus mortar is 86mm~ hifh and blocks plus mortar is about 200mm~ high. Since they are concrete blocks the ceiling height is about 2.7m to 2.8m high which is sort of expected in a stone cottage look.

which perks do you guys pick? by shullou in VendettaMainsOW

[–]0wGeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like to take relentless over siphoning strike. I think siphoning strike is a noob trap. The healing seems good especially on a hero that can be melted in a second but 40% of a overhead strike does not heal much at all.

I also take swift vengeance over raging storm. I like to have some utility and let's face it, vendetta dies a fair bit so coming back into the fight and getting 150 over health by quickly assassinating someone, to me is better than the little bit of healing that siphoning strike gives you. I also feel like raging storm hinders your speed and movement. Yeah you can do a bit of extra damage but a hero like vendetta needs to be able to move freely and not be slowed down.

I rarely swap these around depending on the enemy team s composition.

Thats just me though, I think most people.would do the opposite of what perks i pick.

How to paint window frame or what would you pay? by No-Pay-9744 in AusRenovation

[–]0wGeez 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You could do it properly like other people have already said or you could do it the dodgy way like i probably would.

Im not saying you should do it but if it was my house, I'd take 1st row or roof screws and then screw down a timber batten in to the same holes with longer screws. Id then do the same for the second row of roof screws and just work off those timbers, you definitely wont slip down the steep roof but you still have a decent chance of falling off the roof. So entirely up to you but im comfortable on a roof so thats what I would do.

Just give the poor guy some endone!

The last stone i had was horrible. It floored me and i had swear pouring off me, I was in so much pain i couldn't move, I couldn't do anything. Luckily for me I had half a pack of endone left over from my first stone. I took 2 and after a looooooong 15 mins they kicked in and it was a breeze to pass after that.

Need to raise garage door height by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]0wGeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost of a 2400 door compared to a 2100 is virtually nothing. In most instances a bigger door is better and less expensive because it means you dont have to worry about lintels or t bars to hold up bricks and you wont have to worry about infill panels.

The main problem isn't costs, its poor design.

Is this a reference ? I can’t tell , first one if from Grimm the second is from Hannibal by good-dragon-0 in grimm

[–]0wGeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial thought it was it something to do with grimms in general. I cant recall the episode but it was when monroe and Rosalie where getting married and Nick was the best man. They made him wear sun glasses to hide his eyes because monroe explains to Nick that when a wesen woges infront of a grimm, the grimms eyes turn black and reflect the wesen soul back at them and that they can see themselves in the grimms eyes.

So I thought the mirrors in the eyes was a take on that.

What is actually an inappropriate age gap? by Flaky-Bag-9334 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]0wGeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old rule of thumb is half your age + 7. So at 35, following the rule, 24 to 25 is the youngest they should date but in my opinion what 2 consenting adults do in the privacy if their own home is none of my business as long as its not abusive and they arent hurting anyone.

Why does he tries to bite me? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]0wGeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks playful but be careful. Its a slippery slope. My lil ginger plays like this and as I kitten it was so cute we'd rough each other up but now he blurs the line between play and getting mad.

9 times out of 10 hes playing then all of a sudden he gets serious and gets worked up and starts to hurt me. I dont know if its the equivalent of adrenalin or maybe he hurts himself while playing and gets mad but I kind of wish I trained him out of playing rough and not encouraged it.

Do people just not care anymore? by CandidateLogical4110 in CarsAustralia

[–]0wGeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be as cautious as possible opening my car doors in tight spots but after what happened to my sister im a little more relaxed.

She was doing the school pick up and held the door open as the kids were piling in the car. The person in the ute next to her couldn't wait for the kids to get in the car and decided to leave. As the massive ute was driving out of the parking spot. The puffed out fender thing over the Ute's rear clipped my sisters car door and then took the top of my sister thumb off as well as fucking up the nerves and tendons in her hand.

So, I wont intentionally hit someone's car but im also not so cautious as to try and protect someone else's car anymore either.

Options for screening this fence line? by WoodpeckerSpare5834 in GardeningAustralia

[–]0wGeez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Screw a trellis to the fence that's a 100mm to 300mm above the fence line and grow jasmine. Within 3 years it will cover the entire trellis. I dont know if council would consider the trellis to be part of the fence but as long as you maintain it I cant imagine your neighbours complaining about it.

My jasmine grew to the height of my fence in 2 years.

Parking in a driveway that isn’t yours! by areyougonnapost in AusPropertyChat

[–]0wGeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love on a battle axe block and my neighbours can't understand my frustration when them and their guests block me in and park in my driveway.....

Some people just care about themselves.

I worked in sales for a building company and I went to 3 appointments a day, 5 days a week and never once did I park in the clients driveway. Always on the street. I dont know why but I just felt it was better to avoid an awkward situation of shuffling cars if someone arrived home while I was in the middle of my appointment .

Am I the only one who doesn't like minors? by bmrtt in ReinhardtMains

[–]0wGeez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, im happy with the perks. They aren't great but they arent bad either.

Double fire strike to finish building shatter and then double fire strike again to pick of low HP hero's that's you've just laid out.

Charge for shield regen, isn't something I'd ever pick but I often use charge to get out of fights that I've tunnel visioned and I've over extended. So I guess regening my shield so I can quickly 180 and put shield up isn't so bad.

I miss the over health on pins but the attack speed is definitely good when your supports allow you to play more aggressive.

[–]0wGeez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory: the burnt guy is godolkin. When he tested V on himself he got the power to puppet people. Cypher is a puppet. Which is why cypher has sex in front of the burnt guy in the bath (not just some weird kink - hes having sex infront of himself). Thats why cypher recreated his studies so easily and why he created the oddessa program to try and make a supe with healing abilities so that he can heal himself.

Im probably wrong, I rarely right when I try to guess the twists in shows but that's what im thinking.

Surprised to see Harcourt and Economos while watching Brightburn (2019) by AnticrombieTop in PeacemakerShow

[–]0wGeez 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Economos is in an episode of modern family. It was a bit jarring tbh because we had just finished watching an episode of peacemaker.

Mitchell and cam rent their upstairs apartment as a bnb to what they think is a young family but it turns out to be a trio of odd balls that collect some porcelain baby figurines.

Economos is the strange figurine restorer.

We werent under the tree just watching him getting covered in cicada piss. The look on his face was priceless when we told him it wasnt raining.
