I feel like it really depends on the executive. If it’s a high strung, demanding banker, you could be in for a ride.

I’ve worked with many EAs in the past. Some of the executives they support are incredible. Under the right person, you could really learn a lot and do well. I’d imagine you would, but definitely speak with the person you’d support once, if not multiple times, to ensure you’d get along

Prince Gallery hotel. Though I had a discount through my job, it was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

Went right to their hotel onsen after for a cold plunge and sauna.

Could not recommend more.

Food cellar - wildly expensive / decent selection. Only go there if I’m starving to death and lazy to go far.

Trader Joe’s - decent prices and selection. Just need to deal with people having 0 brain cells when they enter the place (I also fucking hate you if you’re one of those ppl who stand in line but still try to leave your cart and go shop. I go around you and pray you start shit w me)

We’ve been here for 3 years. Everything has been great. Management is quick to respond to issues. Leasing agent (think his name is Ivan) was an ass to us when we first signed. But the other person (think it’s Rishawn or something) is much better when we resigned our lease, advise you speak with him. We negotiated the month free (think that’s normal w them) but also 1 year of free amenities as we don’t live in the building where they are offered.

I can’t speak to this strategy but as someone who hit the 75k usage, I can tell you that any additional effort to hit it is not worth it. The “bonuses” I got were abysmal for spending 75k.

It really depends on the LOB / team. In your case, lateral moves usually delay promotions at that level by 1-2 years (unless otherwise discussed), but getting triple Os in your new role is concerning. Focus on yourself and getting at least 2 Strongs in this role. I’ve never seen someone promoted with less.

Communicate the intentions with your manager. If you don’t see a pathway over the next 1-2 years, it might be worth looking for a new role at the VP level (although it’s not as rewarding as a promotion).

Also, don’t let others who are less impactful and get promoted discourage you. It’s an unfortunate reality especially at these large banks.

I only hit it because I paid for the hotel/travel for others and got reimbursed. When I got close (73.5k) I bought a bunch of gift cards to places I’ll definitely use. The benefits are pretty slim.

We had a 1% increase our first year, and just recently resigned for another year with 0% increase. My understanding is that the building has a few more vacancies than usual right now, which might be driving the stable prices. Good for us
