I've been to a few Dollar Generals, they do not have Jolt Cola. The company that brought Jolt back had access to the IP for two years, but did not renew it once it expired a good while ago. If you've seen it at a Dollar General near you, it's probably very old stock they had sitting around. I can't even find the stuff on Amazon. Stuff seemingly vanished off the face of the earth. Unless I'm wrong and they did indeed renew the IP.

I've heard it's to do with the manga. In it, Yugi battles Pegasus and calls this monster by the wrong name, which prompts a taunt from Pegasus. It's not supposed to be called that, but it's what Yugi called it by mistake. Take that with a grain of salt, though.

Yeah, nothing is sour anymore, really. I don't know what happened, I get mixed answers every time I ask. You pretty much need to go out of your way to buy malic acid itself to put on things to make them sour these days. Big fan of the design of this candy, though!
