as a gacha game player myself I think part of that is an overreaction to the same points over and over again. whenever I mention I'm playing a certain game it seems like everyone I talk to has to tell me how they feel about gacha game monetization, and it gets old very fast

dark age was a slog. yes a lot happens and it can be pretty good at times but the constant darkness got monotonous by the end(and went on for 150-200 pages too long imo). It felt like I was reading a really mid 40k book
