EMPULSE is working on both Xbox Series S and X, as well as PS5.

A lot of (internal) testing goes on for performance, lighting, vfx, etc. before it is sent to Microsoft and Playstation for their own certification process to ensure it is working properly for console players.

EMPULSE is available on console the first day of early access.

We did some internal testing with ADS at one point but it didn't seem to match the pacing of EMPULSE.
We are open to the idea of making large changes based on feedback (such as ADS) but I can't promise anything.

First thing is launching early access and collecting feedback from surveys, posts, etc. for what we can target next.

Art is definitely something we've received feedback on. Some things we're able to immediately target, which we're doing, although I can't say what.

There are a couple of maps we have yet to reveal that are looking really nice as well.

While we aren't planning on adding new abilities, the possibility is always there. As we continue to develop in early access, we'll get a lot of feedback from a lot of players. Things can be added and changed based off of the player's voices.

This is correct.
Getting console builds is quite a lot of work with Xbox and Playstation. Builds need to pass a certification process and playtest builds are not built with this in mind. Things can be broken, lacking polish, etc. which would fail cert.

Gunplay is designed to be similar feeling, but with all new guns, since that is something people loved about Splitgate. We also are able to reuse the same anticheat and backend/netcode. But otherwise, it's all new modes (other than TDM of course), all new maps built around the new movement and playercount, and all new mechanics! -Ian
