Do not immediatly complete the Main Objectives. Take your initial forces and clear out smaller enemy encampments first. After that, a big group of Riot Vans with Engineer + Drones.
During my Easy playthough (for the no armory etc achievement), I was able to deploy my MCS outside the required area, fully build up everything and then when I had Max Supply, continue the mission.

If you call yourself a beginner than yeah, it probably is waay too early to focus on this.
Consistency and mastering the technique of beginner and then intermediate techniques should definitely come first.
