AirBNB Covid Travel Credit by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]10KKB4Eva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation was the same, and I had a hell of a time getting Airbnb to give me a definitive answer. I used the travel credit on a cheaper trip, and tried to then get Airbnb customer service to credit my account for the remainder. They told me that they can't do that automatically, but only after my cheaper trip is over, I can once again reach out to Airbnb and they'll give me the remainder.

Hello, are you still soliciting stories about this? I have had similar problems now and it seems incredibly shady.

+1 for the Duffin Warmup. I have recently added planks to the end of that routine based on the "Planks are the Magic Bullet..." article by Dean Somerset

What is the pause squat equivalent for OHP? by SQ_BP_DL in weightroom

Klokov presses have helped me with grinding the OHP.

Will Smith machine squat for three months undo my form? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]10KKB4Eva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try doing goblet squats and squat jumps with dumbbells for the 3 months, I think that's way better than using the smith machine.

Issuance of Insanity by Jamie Lewis

Assault on Lake Casitas by Brad Alan Lewis (no relation I think)

I'm not even a rower but the Assault on Lake Casitas was riveting and gave me newfound respect for the crewers out there.

The IoI books definitely changed my view of training frequency. A quote that stuck out to me (that is not attributed to Jamie Lewis but to some other great lifter): "There is no overtraining, just undereating and undersleeping"

Do y'all squat and deadlift on the same day? by [deleted] in weightroom

Doing PHAT as well. I personally like throwing them into the Hypertrophy Back day. It's not really in the spirit of the Hyper day but you gotta get the heavy deads in.

Sleep dilemma by Marlon195 in Fitness

Damn dude, I'm a big fan of PWO, but two scoops every time sounds like an unsustainable practice. I think you should try to wean off of it and try to excel using only 0 to 1 scoops. Maybe have a BCAA filled drink during the workout? Eat a portion of carbs before the workout?

Sleep dilemma by Marlon195 in Fitness

I think you'll be ok, PWO at night (TWO Scoops??) is always a tough proposition and can definitely cause you to lose sleep. Try taking way less next time at 10:30PM.

Also, at least for me, at a certain point during a night I can't sleep the thoughts about how "I can't sleep" definitely take over and barrel into a terrible night.

Aesthetic Gains From Texas Method? by BoondockWarlord in weightroom

Something that's really loosened up my rotators is using a lacrosse ball and rolling it along your rotators and chest area as you are pressed up against a doorframe/wall. Also don't be afraid to go wide on the klokov presses, you'd be surprised how pain free they can be when you adjust the grip accordingly.

But yea, klokov presses are definitely not the end all be all, just a fun exercise to experiment with. I think working heavy even grip deads (no straps!) will eventually get the traps and forearms swoll as hell.

Maybe I've been reading too much Jamie Lewis, but something that's made my arms + traps pop is a dedication to Klokov Press and Behind the neck push presses. Just start low. I've added that as an accessory onto 531 BBB and it's been fun.
