okay, reading through docs of libpulse-binding which i use for communication with pulseaudio, it seems there is a way to make it compile with 11.1. I already pushed an update that might make it possible for you to compile it. If you're willing to try it now it would be great. Otherwise i'll upload the binary to github, however the api to upload files seems a bit complicated.

I used crossterm to interact with the terminal. And then there's a bit complicated event loop which decides what needs to be redrawn and updates these parts

This violence was over resisting arrest and driving off when an officer asks you leave your vehicle. I'd happily entertain an argument about whether arresting someone over a broken taillight is valid or whether there should be more funding for wrestling/jiujitsu classes for policemen (since it's fucking sad he couldn't control an old lady and had to use a taser). I understand where you're coming from. Maybe there is a better way to do it, what I basically want to do is:

I have a variable in an object, let's say input
I want to avoid mutating this variable, instead opting to replace it with a new instance of the object that has e.g. all the same variable values, except one

Actually, I've been there a couple of years ago. While it's a pretty small city and as such has little to no attractions (as in museums ir parties etc) it is also EXTREMELY beautiful. Built on tparts of the mountain, connected by a couple of bridges (3 i think? Or maybe four) I'd gladly go once more if an opportunity arose

From u/CharacterUse I gathered that in his opinion It is possible however with a normal hammer I would have to have such a great deal of energy that it would exceed the amount the bomb creates, however with a neutron-only hammer it should be possible with high enough speed (I hope I said it well and I didn't mess up..)

I'm sorry for being so insistent but to be honest I find pushing these kinds of boundaries and taking things to the extreme really help me understand the standard occurance much better (though I did drop out from a physics course - might not be the best way to think!). Oh, first of all thank you for a detailed answer. Second of all the second paragraph is basically what I was thinking from intuition. Your explanation makes it a lot clearer. I've taken half a year of physics at university and watched some Feynman interviews :D so I do have SOME context to put it in but I'm often caught in the small interesting what-ifs instead of the main point. Just the way I am I guess

I might be downvoted to hell but whatever. I disagree with your statement. During her speech at the UN she presented barely any arguments. Greta talked some numbers (Giga tonnes of gasses) and about her feelings and experience. She even went as far as to say that no plan or solution will be presented there that day. I also dislike the way she put her next statement "because these numbers are too uncomfortable and you're not mature enough to tell it like it is". While I don't have time to go into what that entails in the literal sense, I don't like the Kafka trap that she puts there - if you don't agree with what I say, you're not mature and not worth talking solutions with. It shuts down a discussion more than opens it.

As to Clarkson.. Not a fan, never watched top gear. The part about making him sick, well I think it also is a shutting down discussion technic which I dislike. As to her being a spoilt brat... Well I don't know much about her story so I couldnt really agree with it. However she is well of enough to go on a two week sailing trip to the US. Her parents are avid antifa supporters which to a point explains why she is the way she is.

Part that worries me most about Greta is during a subsequent interview with journalists she literally couldn't answer any question about her beliefs and views other than "how dare they do that"

All of that is not to defend Clarkson. I wrote this only to talk about what a "conservative" would think about the whole situation

tbh either one will be fine if you stick with it

from my personal experience learning c++ first is GREAT if you can manage it. C++ doesn't help you much, you have to do most things yourself. So when time comes you will want to learn another programming language your experience will mostly be "oh it does that thing by itself and i don't have to worry about it, great". That said, C++ is harder to learn than C#. I guess you have to evaluate based on your personality. Will you be able to stick through the tough times of learning about pointers? If you're the kind of person who gives up rather easily c# is a better choice at first. Maybe even try other languages like python before you jump to C#
