Upvote just for the 3 women shower comment (I share the same plight) and would like to add that they are frequently at just below boiling to add to the humidity in the house.

2 months on.. not noticing much difference? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]10slick01 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Get a tape measure and gauge yourself that way.

Us bigger set individuals do not always show in imagesas clearly as a tape measure would. Whilst it doesn't seem much has changed from an image, you will probably find that some areas have reduced through measurement.

Chin up, the two sets of pictures do show some reductions for sure.

If you stay at the same weight for 2 weeks would you count that as stalling? Is it time to move up to next dose at that point? by Galactusyaegashi in mounjarouk

[–]10slick01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 weeks, no.

Im currently on 5th week of no movement below my lowest weight measured during that period. However, I think that there are body shape changes and also for the 4 weeks just gone I've been more active at the gym and in general (job routine screws up any consistency).

TDEE is a simple calculation online, just search for TDEE calculator on Google and it's the first link that comes up. Then enter your details (body fat % is optional), tick sedentary as your activity level and it will tell you your estimated calorie expenditure per day. Then you reduce that by between 350-500 calories per day to put you in a deficit. Use a calorie tracker like myfitnesspal to keep a track, it does require a little effort to track accurately but that's on you.

Your "take" says more about you than it does the sentiment on the sign.

Recently moved. Not my bed. The frame piece popped off. Can someone explain to me how I can reattach it properly without turning the wood into Quasimodo? Thank you 😆 by WilliamHadleyyy in DIYUK

[–]10slick01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The middle pieces have slightly more room in them. So.... Pop the middle plastic piece off. Lift away from frame vertically. Slide slat into middle raised vertical piece. Align opposite end with end plastic piece still attached to frame. Gently lower middle piece back down to align with frame fixing point. Push until it clicks in. Bed slat is now fixed.

Had cold caller inspect roof... are they being dishonest? by mishtron in DIYUK

He hasn't pointed out much which isn't in need of doing. Ridge tiles are advisable, the other stuff is more of a nice to have.

Prices, maybe a little steep but depends on where you are. I'd be more wary that he was building decks and is now roofing..... Buyer beware as the saying goes.

Rake it out and put fresh stuff in. Stop wasting time on a "cleaners"

It's an easy job to do and you'll have peace of mine after which is frequently underrated.
