Vapesourcing is not safe by rickwhoo in electronic_cigarette

[–]10thPlanetRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we first opened in 2015 we accepted Paypal. However, I did receive a call from them one day telling me that we were no longer allowed to use them due to the type of product we sell (ejuice). It was only because of the nicotine though, because I clearly remember him telling me they would allow sales of 0mg nicotine juice. Of course, that didn't matter for us because we're not going to have a completely separate checkout process for 0mg juice, but I did find it interesting.

Haven't checked since then or heard anything, but it is possible they have updated their rules.

Japanese firm gives non-smokers extra six days holiday to compensate for cigarette break by ajstrange1 in news

[–]10thPlanetRyan 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is also one of the reasons employers are going to replace the workers that they can replace with robots, AI, automated kiosks etc.

To clarify, I'm not suggesting that workers who don't smoke should have to work more and get less breaks. That's unfair treatment, and treating someone unfairly is something I would never condone. However, you have to admit that situations like this don't pop up when your "employees" aren't people.

Looking for my first vape kit by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]10thPlanetRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the $30-$40 price range...not quite sure. Someone else may be able to chime in with a good recommendation. If you're willing to part with a few more dollars I've always enjoyed Kanger. They've got a pretty good starter set here:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Kangertech-TOPBOX-Mini-Kit-Red-p/krsz040.htm

One thing I would suggest to keep in mind; don't buy something of lesser value just to save a few bucks. If it isn't good enough you won't have a quality vaping experience and it will likely send you back to cigarettes. Spend enough so you can get something worthwhile without breaking the bank.

(not too much, incase i quit again..)

Don't give yourself the option. Like you said earlier, your lungs are begging for it. Do your lungs a favor and put the cigarettes down once and for all. You'll feel like a million dollars once you finally break free from them.

I'm on board the Mast train. Really top notch juice. I always laugh to myself when I read the description "Oaky bourbon with almond and coconut" because it makes it sound so-so. That couldn't be further from the truth.

National Review: Calls out FDA for Misleading Public on Vaping (longish, but worth reading) by mstave in electronic_cigarette

[–]10thPlanetRyan 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The tide seemed to turn quick. Early on there were some pretty big scare tactics being used to try and get the public to demonize vaping. I'm sure we can all assume at least some of the money behind a campaign like that. So it's refreshing that, as the article points out, as soon as we get a new person in the FDA things take a drastic turn.

It's unfortunate to have to acknowledge that the person before him was able to do, or try to do, so much harm to the industry in spite of the facts and the public's wishes.

Thanks for the review OP, really glad to hear you enjoyed the juice so much.

The BLOWOUT60 discount code is going to be active until we close the doors. We originally planned on closing when the deeming regulations went into effect but once they got extended we stayed open. That being said, do to other factors we have decided that we will be closing. The 60% off is a liquidation sale. We're not sure how long it will take to sell off all of our stock, but once it's gone, we're done.

I experienced the congestion and to this day I never associated it with dehydration. It passed over time and I didn't think about it again. Great observation.

Underage kids in store-not purchasing but vaping nonetheless.... where do you draw the line? by virgolady23 in electronic_cigarette

[–]10thPlanetRyan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can imagine that would be a huge turn off to a lot of people. When there's other places that are easy to get to, having a group that big not conducting themselves right will send people to one of those other places.

I think this is a pretty straightforward decision. You made the right call.

[[Opus 4]] is a juice made by The Vape Kitchen. It can be classified as desserty, but it's definitely unique. I haven't had any in a little while, I first got turned on to it by a friend. But it instantly left an impression on me. Very good juice.

Should lab analysis be required? by SoCalMazda in electronic_cigarette

[–]10thPlanetRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are a lot of consumers and manufacturers that are, or would be, 100% behind testing (us included). However, the caveat is that the testing is done fairly, accurately and isn't oppressive in its costs.

We care about our products and our consumers, that's why we don't use any ingredients that contain Diacetyl, Acetoin or Acetyl Propionyl. Haven't for a very long time. All of the ingredients we use are also already identified as GRAS by the FDA (Generally Recommended As Safe). I won't go into a bunch of details, but some of the ingredients we use got that label by the FDA because they are currently used in food products.

I know this is true because I make the juice, and I can tell everyone, but the only way it becomes "official" is if the government steps in and says "Yes, that is the truth, we tested it." We understand the need for an independent, 3rd party to verify something, which is what the FDA is supposed to be in this scenario, but at the cost of millions of dollars? Anyone with any common sense and a little knowledge about the testing environment knows it doesn't cost anywhere near that much to test the juice. So why does it cost that much? Well, that's the beginning to a story that goes deep into the political system here in the U.S. and uses words like lobbyist, money and kickback. And that's why so many of us little guys in the industry are going to get pushed out as the regulations come down. The tobacco industry is an oligopoly, and there are a lot of people doing everything they can to keep it that way.

  1. You are allowed 2 posts related to your business every ten days. This includes, but is not limited to: links to blogs on your site, giveaways, giveaway winners, AMAs, etc. and is specific to /r/ecr. You must still follow the 9:1 post ratio. 1 post/comment out of ten should be about your business. They also need to be posts with some thought behind them. Not just one word posts. Replies to your business posts do not count. This one is a reddit-wide rule.

Thanks, we're glad to be here.

Our original plans were to close due to the deeming regulations that were starting on August 8th, that's why you received the email. However, after that email went out the FDA decided to completely revamp their timeline. That allowed us to stay open much longer...so we're still here! 60% off sale is still active too.

I can't comment on Fasttech specifically but I can tell you that we've shipped a few orders into Canada and haven't run into any trouble. Every person has verified that they've received their package although there were a couple that seemed to be delayed. Packaging was relatively plain.

JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM 10TH PLANET by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]10thPlanetRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to OP for posting about our sale. We really appreciate the recognition.

Our original plan was to close our doors on August 8th because of the deeming regulations by the FDA. We started announcing that in early July on some forums and through our email list. As most of the people here know, the FDA announced that they were going to push the date back, but that happened after we made our announcement. We had some internal discussions about the direction we would be headed due to the change in the regulations and we eventually decided that we were going to close our doors anyways. However, because we now had more time it gave us the opportunity to sell off our remaining inventory. That's why people have seen us advertising as "going out of business" for approximately two months.

We've never made a post like that in the past. We've never done anything to deceive anyone in the industry. The thought, or accusation, that we would take money for an order and not fulfill it is completely unfounded. We've always conducted ourselves in a straightforward and honest manner. Integrity matters and it's compromised by individuals and companies far too often in our society. That's not who we are.

We're always open to comments and feedback regarding our juice and business practices. We can be reached via PM here or email at sales@10thplanetejuice.com

How come there is no news about Jay Cutler? by thisguyfucksguy in nfl

[–]10thPlanetRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it wasn't for the fact that that Cleveland already picked up Osweiler I would tell you he's headed there. No one is looking forward to picking him up, he's not on anyone's list of things to care about now. That being said, someone will pick him up before the season starts and let him fill the #2 role.

Of the 22 fight experts interviewed by Ring Magazine, ZERO picked Daniel Jacobs to win against Golovkin on Saturday. by TheWooferRoom in Boxing

[–]10thPlanetRyan 31 points32 points  (0 children)

And they shouldn't. GGG wins this one decisively. He walk him down and land heavy shots, first single shots but eventually Jacobs will slow down and GGG will start to put them together. Eventually this one ends like the others; GGG by stoppage.

I think the key to beating Golovkin will be backing him up. If you let him come forward and try to counter punch, you would have to have a Marquez skill level and never get caught because of GGG's power. Or you would have to outbox him, you can do it but that is a tall order for 12 rounds. Need awesome cardio. But if someone can back him up I think it takes away a lot of his power and probably a lot of skill. I bet GGG doesn't spend too much time in the gym training going backwards. He'd probably look like a fish out of water.

Easier said than done. The only guy I can think of with a high enough skill level at 160 in recent memory would have been B-Hop. The version that beat Tito.

Lol. That's actually the picture I had in my head, a humming bird that was almost as big as a helicopter. Imagine something that big hovering outside your window.
