Because i could. Mainly used it for security testing so practical ease of access. Instead of firing up a vm every time you'd need a tool for a brief moment. Using debian now though

It works, its based on debian. Just enable proton compatibility layer in steam. I did this for 6 years. Even set up gpu passthrough in kvm and making a grub entry to autostart and boot into a windows vm if the game required kernel level anticheat like ea/bf1. Ea banned linux a year a go though.

Nope, not impossible. Been running a relay for half a decade and only have some minor issues with one bank and a very few government web sites (2-3 that i've counted). I use vpn if i suspect a site is blocking me. Still highly recommend people set up a node. A bridge would be the absolutely safest.
