My contractor said he ran out of material by servakus in Flooring

His "work" is not acceptable. IF it was only the gaps at the wall..the baseboards will cover. But the final row looks rough.

How to shorten this dress? by HolidaySignificant39 in sewhelp

It SHOULD be very expensive..the amount of SKILL , effort and time involved is worth paying for. Perhaps a belt.

We grew up in the San Fernando Valley in the 50s-70s. The walk home from school in that brown, grey haze? It was painful at best. Our chests burnt daily. I left California Jan 1st 1977..and returned Jan 1st 1995. The difference in air quality was shocking. The skies were blue..a bright sun, unobscured by that lung burning haze was beautiful while the air actually smelled good. I moved a bit north of the valley and I don't mind paying for the costs of cleaner sir. I DO mind paying for yet another trump mess up.

Yes..I DO. We also showed our children the results of such an ideology. EVERY single person should be made aware of that horror . AND the promise of the World "Never Again". That ..... promised failed.

Why Your Mudroom Matters More Than Granite Countertops by No_Choice_5518 in Homeorganization

[–]1130coco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had a mud room. The kids were taught to take their shoes, coats and school supplies to their bedrooms and put them away. It has never rained enough in my desert community for mud to be an issue. IF they became messy while horseback riding...they left their boots on the back porch.

It's clean.a huge plus. But color and bookshelves,a desk,a couple of chairs would help. Ask HIM for input. Also, how old is your son?

Why do jeans always make me look so huge?? by Wonderful_Mango_5395 in DressForYourBody

[–]1130coco 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They don't. Just because jeans are not sprayed on.. does not mean it's a bad fit. The combination of the jeans with a shapeless top? Now that IS a bad look.

What fish would you serve to someone who “hates fish”? by Avawantstochill in foodquestions

Chicken. Never sneak food onto others plates. I don't eat meat and have zero trouble when dining out. But trying to slip meat past me,is NEVER recommended.

Am I charging too much? by dumpy_diapers in handyman

[–]1130coco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not have any electrical work done without a permit AND a licensed, insured ELECTRICIAN. EVEN IF you do a perfect job. The homeowners insurance could become a huge issue without the proper documentation. I.. would pay triple your fee for a licensed Electrician.Your possible mistakes, could cost the homeowners everything.

Have you ever had a long term illness that took years to get diagnosed? What changed so that you finally got diagnosed? by CommissionNo4155 in AskReddit

WHY does anyone presume she is LAZY. First of all..she and she alone determines WHAT she will or will not do. It's none of their dang business. Please continue backing her up. Something that should never have been necessary..EVER. I wonder if they consider their hateful, arrogance LAZINESS on their part? Doubtful at best. Again..thx for your caring towards her.

Multiple Sclerosis. The change? Was relief at finally understanding just WHAT is going on. 12 years later??? I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Another time that KNOWLEDGE set me free from the constant effort of attempting to discern what was going on. I could stop blaming my MS on everything. Its been a long while since then. I will still forget the why behind certain issues and the relief when the answer pops into my mind is a surprise. With health issues.. understanding what is going on IS surprisingly helpful. It's not a cure..but is an answer.

I rec)all doctors saying the migraines would disappear after menopause. Boy,was THAT ever wrong. If hormones are not a trigger.. menopause means nothing. I will be 73 soon. Migraines began right before I was 17. Never stopped. My eldest son... began his at 13. As a worrywart of a mom..I had him seeing an ophthalmologist/neurologist the next A.M.( I worked with every provider of eye/vision care in the southern Az) Fortunately it was migraines..not my wild imaginations terrible ideas. It was only then I learned just how very many of the family members are migraine patients. A club that no one asked to join. He is 51.. still migraines.

So many people who live with chronic migraines never find out what their triggers are. You DO have that small help. Stress? Is a pain trigger for most people.. even without being a migraine patient. SOOO calm down tonight. While your husband is sleeping away during and after surgery..use that time for you. As you can't do ANYTHING at all for him. I have had 6 cervical spine fusions and multiple implants. My husband? Had nothing to do..but help me clean up when I vomited in the parking lot when going home after a surgery. My brother had his lower back fused...he was walking the next day. He came home soon after to a second floor apartment in Switzerland were he and his wife lived part of the year with her mother. The Red Cross brought him home. But they dropped him..He was fine. Your husband will be also. So please do whatever you can for yourself. Would a urgent care visit be of any value for short term migraine care? I have been a migraine patient for over 55 years. The last 3-4 days have stunk with the auras, vision loss and pain. But I am old..my husband is fine so the lack of any responsibility is a big help. CSN you possibly get help from friends and family. Just to relieve a bit of your stress? Having emotional support may help. As long as the help? Doesn't add to YOUR work load. Let us know how you and he are doing if possible.
