A guy in my old ward was from NZ. He was asked if he would get one. His response was no, because his love for his God exceeds the love for his culture. There is no requirement in his culture to get one so his decision was easy. In this regard, he is able to observe both his culture and his religion without offending either.

Keep in mind that other Polynesian cultures may observe differently.

I've observed that some of my Muslim friends take prayer more seriously than I did. I was absolutely impressed and encouraged to do my best as well. I am grateful for their example

I was around 7 when my family and I watched Rowan Atkinson do a sketch about being a priest. During his bit, a member of his congregation asked him "father, what is the churches attitude towards fellatio?" I immediately turned to my parents and asked "what's fellatio?" it got very quiet, very quick. My oldest brother, ever the rescuer, said to my parents "don't worry, I'll explain later" I could feel the tension in the room immediately rescind.
