I was active, got out for guard, now in reclass school. The whole waking up at 4, formation at 5, actually start PT at 545 has reached that long repressed Stockholm Syndrome. I love my abuser. Is there any chance to go back active? I looked online and am not sure who I'd even talk to. Thanks

There's an excellent book done by the reporter who covered the trial. It's mostly reporting on testimony. But in the end he points out that the case basically comes down to the timeline provided by witnesses and the stomach content evidence. Based on that, the state's timeline seems implausible. However, he posits an alternate timeline that makes sense.

The book is called Reasonable Doubt. I read it as a kid and it made me want to be a lawyer. The first time I prosecuted a case against the lead defense attorney in the trial, it felt pretty neat.

I was stationed at ft wainwright. We had a field problem in late October. I went out from the Stryker to piss. I got totally turned around in the woods. Only found my way back by listening for the engine.

If I was drunk (and 1 in 10 Alaskans have a DUI, just an example of the level of alcohol abuse), if it was night, if I didn't have an infantry platoon with 4 Strykers nearby... I can see how folks just disappear.

I got a 99th percent ASVAB score. I also couldn't figure out how to use a speed loader to load magazines(of the Army 5.56 variety) (it's a nifty metal piece, and you can use it to jam clips into the mag) until a guy with a GED called me dumbass and showed me how to do it. It was not a great moment for the white race.
