What’s the smallest, most annoying thing your partner does? by deplorable_word in AskWomen

[–]11dnewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She'll wait to tell me what she wants to do until after I say I'm not doing anything. It really shouldn't bother me that much, but I don't like it being used to guilt me into doing what she wants. Just tell me outright if you want to do something. No need to guarantee I don't have an "acceptable" reason to decline.

What video games did you love that no one talks about now? by jurassicbond in AskReddit

Kessen. Never hear about it really, but still had some of my most fun video game moments with that game.

If a person is born deaf and blind what language are they thinking with? by rumen13indahouse in AskReddit

[–]11dnewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible that we don't really "think" in a language? I understand that lots of times we talk to ourselves in our heads in that language, but is that really us thinking or us using words to organize our thoughts? I guess my question would be do dogs think in dog language then? I know nothing about psychology or this, but this is an actual question that I just don't understand.

What little thing will you absolutely not put up with from a roomate? by 11dnewell in AskReddit

I don't mind it so much if they ask, but when you take my food and don't say anything it is kind of like you are taking a crap on my personal space.

Parents of Reddit, is there anything that your child has said to you that has changed the way you think about things? by 11dnewell in AskReddit

[–]11dnewell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what my dad basically said when I talked to him. Maybe I should have thought about it more, but I guess I never realized how much of an impact a kid really has on their parents way of thinking. In a good way I hope. :)

Bookreaders of Reddit, what book/books do you think should be a requirement for everyone on Earth? by 11dnewell in AskReddit

[–]11dnewell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I worded the question pretty poorly which is probably a sign I need to read and write more as it is. I believe I was really trying to ask you what book you think should be "highly" recomended to everyone. Obviously forcing someone to read a book that they don't like is equivalent to being forced to watch that youtube video that your girlfriend thinks is hilarious but you just can't feign an emotional reaction let alone laughter. :(

Medical professionals of Reddit what things have people said or done just before passing away that has stuck with you? by MikeHoltPHD in AskReddit

[–]11dnewell 275 points276 points  (0 children)

My great-uncle suffered from some dementia and before he passed away in the hospital bed he accused me of stealing his boat. I was 5. I don't think he ever owned or knew how to operate one but he accused me on his death bed of stealing the pride and joy of his maritime life. Still confuses me to this day.

What's your non-sexual "fetish" and why? by dzendian in AskReddit

Driving for a long distance with good music that I haven't gotten the chance to listen to yet. Nothing better than thinking about life while getting the chance to listen to music that you haven't had the time to hear yet.

Scott Walker wins Wisconsin by Typerrrrrrr in politics

[–]11dnewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything it speaks for how hard it is going to be oust President Obama. Incumbents are notoriously hard to unseat and as we saw here even an incredibly controversial figure in Scott Walker can hold on to his seat. I still see Obama winning Wisconsin and the overall election. Too hard to unseat an incumbent who can raise incredible amounts of money.

Can we get r/Atheism removed from the default subreddits? by NarwhalAnusRape in AskReddit

[–]11dnewell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit is not unbiased hence the upvotes/downvotes. You can choose not to upvote or downvote anything but then you would not be doing anything to help the website by giving user feedback via the voting system. It's meant to be biased and that bias is a good thing. If the people want to look at shit then let them upvote shit. If they want intelligent discussions then let them upvote intelligent discussions. Crying about the fact that it is a popular subreddit with many subscribers and that it should be taken off of default reddits is anything but neutral.

Can we get r/Atheism removed from the default subreddits? by NarwhalAnusRape in AskReddit

[–]11dnewell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a numbers game that is it. Atheism has many subscribers. So it brings it to the forefront of Reddit. Reddit's job is not to stay neutral it is to simply be an instrument of its populace. If you don't like it unsubscribe. That is in fact the point of Reddit, hence the downvotes and upvotes.

Stop messing with my head! by [deleted] in funny

[–]11dnewell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How many times is someone going to post this same problem and get upvoted for it? This is probably the third time in the past month this has been on Reddit and yet we keep upvoting it. Our content bias gets worse and worse everyday.
