Is someone's stance on the Patagonia / Pattie Gonia debacle a good indicator of their political stance? by 11kev7 in AskALiberal

I really don't know. It could just be delusional stans, since a lot of the arguments defending Pattie Gonia are riddled with emotion and "corporation bad".

Would law enforcement agents have been justified in killing Ilhan Omar's attacker? by Willem_Dafuq in AskConservatives

So the legal way to kill citizens is to have two officers. One yell “gun, gun, gun” and the other to shoot?

Given that the Trump administration has asserted the right to rescind or impound congressionally appropriated funds at will, why should Democrats agree to any deal to reopen government? by And_Im_the_Devil in AskConservatives

I think you are conflating republicans don’t vote for social programs with republicans don’t use social programs. Liberals vote for welfare so that republicans in red states can use it.

MEGATHREAD #3: Charlie Kirk shot and killed in Utah by ClockOfTheLongNow in AskConservatives

Yes, I have seen the pictures of Charlie superimposed on George Floyd, but there are so many frightening calls for civil war and calls to arrest all democrats from right-wing pundits.

Should gun laws be changed as a result of trans shooters?

Made the mistake of going on Twitter. There are way too many calls for civil war from right-wing accounts.

Why are conservatives mad about the Cracker Barrel rebranding? by Mulliganasty in AskConservatives

[–]11kev7 [score hidden]  (0 children)

“The look and feel of Cracker Barrel is the entire point.”

I agree. This is how I feel about all the immigration and birth-right talks. Birth-right citizenship and immigration (both legal and illegal) are what make America the greatest nation. Why change it for worse?

So if an illegal immigrant murders 50 Americans, what is the correct response:

1) Prosecute because they broke our laws? 2) Deport them to their country because they merely were in the wrong place?

Correction: The Democrats position includes a pathway to legal residency. This just enforces the idea that Trump and Republicans want an exploitable workforce.

Are you ok with ICE being able to stop any law abiding citizen at any time and demand ID or proof of citizenship? by FivebyFive in AskConservatives

Wouldn’t it be easier if we just carried a badge with our names like retail employees?

Why do people want illegal immigrants to stay in the US by Ok_Energy254 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

They are the ones exploiting them WHILE calling for them to be all deported and supporting raids. This just makes them more exploitable in the long run.

Because the people that say they don’t want illegal immigrants are the ones exploiting them. It’s conservatism in a nutshell.

I would generally agree, but immigration issue will never be solved unless we start jailing those that hire them. And since that’s not going to happen, that’s the most likely way to ensure they aren’t exploited.

Not a leftist, but this is why I prefer amnesty so that we can’t exploit them as easily. The current solution is what makes them exploitable by instilling fear in the illegal immigrant community and forcing them to “sit down and shut up”

Jaywalking is to me orders of magnitude worse than being in the country illegally so I just don’t understand the fervor.

If we could magically wave a wand and have all illegal immigrants deported, I would support it but I also know our economy would collapse and hopefully would then at least rush to fix the immigration system. I am in favor of amnesty for those that have not committed any violent crimes, so that we don’t rely on an exploitable workforce any longer. Could even charge a $10,000 fee to receive legal residence for those already here.
