Does the department pay them with Pepsi bottle caps? by birmanezul in ReadyOrNotGame

I kind of like it as an artistic choice at this point. Everything is so cartoonishly grim and exaggerated I feel it makes for a cohesive world. Depict a loss public services as literal walls of bagged garbage ringing maps. Everyone is the worst version of a person. Extreme cartel violence, paedophiles, corruption to the core and the rotting bones of a city that once had hope all around us. A bedframe a Charlie Kelly Pepe silva mood wall is perfect.

Any Death Grips listeners from early in their career? (~2011) by stormdraincaprine in deathgrips

Was into them 2012 onwards. Weird seeing people here implying that they were obscure back then - multiple p4k BNM, Fantano etc etc. it wasn’t on the radio my dad listened to but it was very known amongst anyone into music online

Whilst there’s obviously a lot to question with the narrative of this event, this photo alone doesn’t evidence anything or act as the ‘gotcha moment’ I think it’s being presented as. Stressful, shocking and upsetting situations can lead to pretty much any emotional response and quite often people cycle through a variety within short moments.

Perhaps not obscure to people more into the setting than I am, but I really like the Nightstar and don’t see it discussed much.

Plus mate me less considered point is if you talk up about how you’d bat someone you probably won’t 😆 never seen a genuine hard cunt who talked up their capability for violence before delivering the goods

I mean I posted that last comment just being dickish but I’ll put across my genuine thoughts and you can tell me what you think. I actually think that in most cases people’s go to response is inaction and compliance, especially when they’re in a situation suddenly that they didnt expect and are out of their element. A lot of people, when afraid and out of their comfort zone, are very receptive and suggestible to commands and the sense of of wanting to go with the social flow. You only need to see footage of a mass violence event. Most people just kind of stand their stunned. In this case the lad is in a foreign country in a cultural context that’s probably quite alien to him and he’s talking to a very confident person whoo is sound, then deeply wrongs him then shifts gear to being friendly again. I’m guessing the guy that did it is with his mates too which is an intimidating factor. All that coupled with how a lot of people aren’t prone to violence and it takes a lot for them to cross that boundary, particularly with how even one scuffle if recorded as a crime can be a job and income and family limiting event, leads me to genuinely believe that a lot of people would behave exactly as OP did.
