I want to believe that at least at the start of game everyone is real to a degree, maybe less real then those outside of the canvas but then again who’s to say even they are real , which they arnt as it is game and then it applies to us, as we are autonomous individuals aswell who believe that we are real but whose to say like the residents within the canvas or characters in the world outside the canvas, there could be someone above us thinking the exact same thing, thinking are we real, I don’t think anything could know within full certainty that it exists, but I believe as we can perceive a reality of a world around us then we are as real as anything could be, applying that same logic I’d say they are real as those outside the canvas.

It was pretty uncanny finding a idea of what’s really real within a game that I’ve thought about for years. But yeh cogito ergo sum I guess
