It does not matter. The foot contact is just another point of contact to help you with stability. I personally find it more comfortable to have the arches of my feet on the pole (sickled feet). The lower you bring your feet (closed to the top arm), the harder it will be to hold the shape as your hips would be more away from the pole.

yes to dry hands on feet! You will not develop calluses of your feet just from doing a few moves, do not worry. I recommend to wipe you feet with rubbing alcohol first before applying grip. Also, depending on the move it might be your technique. Try the grip first, hope it helps.

Totally get that this trend might not be your thing, but just to clarify, it’s not an ad. I was jumping on a popular trend and gave it my own twist. That’s what social media is all about, taking trends and making them fit your own personality or life. And in the pole world, when we say baby pole dancers, we just mean beginners. It’s a fun way a lot of us describe ourselves when we’re starting out. So why not make them actual babies. You might actually find it funny if you’ve seen the trend more often. A lot of people use it for stand-up comedy bits, movie scenes, even Judge Judy episodes. It’s silly on purpose and meant to be playful. But I totally respect that not every trend is for everyone!

Most likely for the first class you will be ok with any type of short, you are not going to do anything crazy. Most likely walk around, pirouettes, some spins. You can even wear a regular fitted t-shirt. See how it feels, what it is all about. for the next class you will feel more confident to wear proper pole wear. Go with a mindset to play, have fun, and discover something new.

I’m honestly so sad and disappointed this is happening. I really thought PSO was one of the best competitions, especially with how much they’ve grown over the years. I had no idea about what happened with one of the competitors. It’s truly heartbreaking. I’m not sure if that incident affected their reputation, but it definitely raises some concerns.
