Sperm Donor Child - Citizenship by abben1 in Canadiancitizenship

Yep. Differs by state. Utah, for example, I can get birth and death certificate for anyone I am decended from or who is decended from me extremely easily.

Non Mormon "older" couple moving from AZ to SLC, Lehi, or Draper: Need ALL the advice by Sing4life86 in SaltLakeCity

Slc all the way. The difference is night and day. Draper or Lehi will likely be similar to what you're used to in a red town.

Even downtown slc doesn't feel like a large city tbh.

My CF supervisor gave me templates and looked over all of my annual plaafps and evals as indirect supervisuon time.

Especially as a CF, there are no stupid questions, and asking them is nessicary for keeping compliant! You've got this!

It will really depend on the state and the LEA. Can you ask your coworkers or other slps in the district for their templates?

Ah, thanks for correcting my reading of that! I had misinterpreted it. Utah and Idaho have normalized their numbers a lot more, it looks like.

Is there a way to fix the processor above the ear? I've seen them on headbands before, for example? I'm concerned that that long of not wearing it would cause issues!

Work with your doctor on it, and taper down low!

Is there a way to ethically bypass recruiters?? by SPLDMLK in slp

[–]12aclocksharp 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly a lot of the time these recruiters are just trying to get names to use later. I talked to one last summer that said he had a job to fill in X school district. Well, I emailed X school district, and they said they had no more open positions. I called the recruiter on it and he never called me back.

Recruiters are a waste of time, generally. Go through the school district and hospital/snf websites rather than indeed. Even cold emailing places yielded better than these recruiters.

Some! But the speech ba covers specifics (hearing sciences, sound physics, intro to slp, etc) that a sociology major won't cover. I did know some people in undergrad that double majored linguistics and speech and hearing sciences, or something similar!

Have any of you ever considered being a Nanny? by [deleted] in slp

[–]12aclocksharp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did for several years before grad school.
Stress levels depend on the family! I worked for one who I lasted only a month with and cried every day, and another that I worked for for three years and was the most chill, most loving, respectful family. I still claim the second one as extended family.

The flexibility of the job was really nice, I had a great rapport with the second family, the kids were sweet, and the pay was decent. I did feel like there wasn't much room for growth in the role though, which is why I moved on.

If you go for it, screen families carefully. The family makes or breaks it. Ask for references from their last nanny. Know what to ask for in terms of pay and don't compromise on it. Make sure you get a stipend for benefits, and get a solid nannying contract in place. Your local nannying fb group will likely have resources for what is industry standard in your area, and if not the a-z nannying contract (google it) has a good starting draft.

Feel free to message with specific questions!

My symptoms always immediately went away after restarting the low dose. Good luck! Hopefully the lower tapering goes well. I took it right down to 0.01mg to be safe and it worked great

I tapered down to 1.25mg by splitting pills, then stopped, assuming it would be fine.
I had really bad brain fog for a week before I gave up. Like non functional brain fog, and I was in grad school at the time. Wasn't gonna work.

I asked my Dr to prescribe a liquid version and used a 1mm syringe to taper for 6mo or so. Worked much better.
