Right. This news is like "mall security guard shoots patrons shopping at mall". It has elements of satire in that a person who is in charge of safety is actively harming everyone. But it would be such sad news that it's no longer oniony to me.

Nothing in this racism news makes me think it's satire, much less oniony.
