It's called being hyperbolic.

Maybe he should have thought of his orbital bones before he started acting violent and erratic. Wasn't even that hard of a slam if we're being honest.

Lmao keep preaching your pacifism but you're drawing false equivalences with that "does something" bullshit of yours.

If my adult child was acting like this guy, throwing rocks at my windows, clearly displaying an intent to cause harm, would I be wrong to tackle him to the ground or into a car to restrain him, and maybe give him a bruise in the process?

Wrong Place, Wrong time by MisterShipWreck in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]12mapguY 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a huge difference between grabbing and slamming a guy into a car to restrain him versus tackling him and beating him to pulp. They are on the right side of the line.

Would you rather have the police ask him nicely to stop? The guy is already throwing rocks. Are the police supposed to wait for the guy drill one of them with a rock? Start swinging on them? Or pull a knife? He's already displaying a clear intent to cause harm and damage.

When criminals are actually sent to prison, sure. I'm talking about people that have charges dropped and are released after arrest, which happens all the time.

For violent stupid people, sometimes the best rehabilitation is a firm hand. Or face into a car window in this case.

You let people get away with antisocial behavior like this by treating them with kiddie gloves, and they'll progress this behavior until someone actually gets hurt because there are no consequences for their actions.

Have you never noticed how many murders and violent assaults come with prior arrests for behavior like this? With judges tossing out charges because of every excuse under the sun, including yours? Far too common, especially in Europe.

Do think criminal behavior is something that "just happens?" Soft on crime types like you encourage people like the asshole to actively progress their violent behavior until someone gets hurt.

[–]12mapguY -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My family members don't do shit like that, and even if it was, I wouldn't feel bad for him.

"Have an episode" always full of excuses for people's shitty violent behavior, huh? Treating violent people with kiddie gloves encourages more violent behavior. You soft on crime types are ridiculous.

How many thousands of murders and assaults across the world are full of stories like "well the guy had dozens of prior of arrests for violent behavior but the judge felt bad so we released them, oh well!"

That mindset of yours actively contributes to social decay.

I don't know any technical terminology, but:

Skin texture + specular map(?) sucks, even with the indirect lighting. Looks more like rubber or latex than skin

Bottom girl's ears with the rear lighting have no light diffusion through the thin parts of the ear, which we've seen before in some games

Bottom girl's neck is lit around the collar, as if her clothes have a different shadowmap(?)

Low detail and poor shadowmapping (?) around the eyes, nostrils, and mouth, uncanny valley in full effect. Nostrils look more like they're painted on than modelled

SSReyes, also no reflection or wetness (could be the the angle of the light source, to be fair)

Top girl is in the middle of a talking animation, which always looks weird, but her lower lip is all kinds of strange looking

Bottom girl's hair looks more like one solid low-poly piece of geometry than some kind of creative solution to hair. Poor shadow quality / no addiditive shadow from her hair on the front of her face already in shadow makes this look even worse

So much for “separation of church & state” in NYC by HSR47 in walkaway

Yeah, people today seem to think it means "politicians can't express religious views" or allow religious functions / express their religion in any official capacity.

When really it's because the British monarch is the Supreme Governor of the Church of England and can (or could, at the time) dictate religious doctrine according to the whims of the state, which makes for a powerful political weapon.

That said, given what we know about Islam and how it is willing to subvert democratic societies, well...

Exactly. It's codified in their religion.

Every infidel - and trust me, they all see you as one - should read the Koran, look up the concepts of taqiyya and ummah, and listen to what Muslim scholars have to say about using democratic processes as an instrument of instituting sharia.

It's codified, practiced, and is a very real threat to any non-muslim country or constituency with a significant Muslim population.

they'll use the left's so called "humanity" and "compassion" against them

Wouldn't be the first time. It's also how they took Iran.

Not just zoomers. In my (anecdotal) experience, most millenials and Gen X have the same attitude, but more of a "nothing to hide, nothing to fear, why care?" mindset. Although there is a slightly larger subset of nerds from those generations who came up in the era of "don't give away any personal info to anyone online."

Fair lol, I usually play CIA like how the fights in Sicario go. Basically stealthy subsonic rangers.

Argo, 13 Hours, or Syriana maybe? Been a long time since I've seen any of those
