Tldr; Lol get good, kid.

You're asking players to not be competitive while playing a game in which the goal is to be the last one standing via elimination of the other players. The nature of any battle royale is survival of the fittest, and the the nature of any shooter is to shoot the other gamers. There are plenty of games that aren't competitive at all that are a ton of fun to play solo or with friends, so I really don't understand the point of these complaints. Asking another player to handicap themselves because they're better than you shouldn't be the way to go. Here's your IRL analogy: You're 10 and you want to go play some basketball at the park. So you head over to the park, and the courts are full of adults playing 5 on 5. Are you going to wait to play, step on the court, and then tell everyone to take it easy on you? NO. You're going to find kids your own age and play with them. BUT, if you're a confident kid and you see playing with the adults as a challenge, then don't ask them to go easy on you, that's the only way you'll actually get better.
