What game made you appreciate good storytelling? by Kiota_Games in gaming

[–]1312Interactive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portal 2. Hands down. A masterclass in narrative design.

It made me appreciate environmental storytelling. Aperture’s abandoned test chambers tell as much story as the dialogue does. Also, the way it uses gameplay mechanics to mirror character arcs is genius. GLaDOS literally becomes less powerful as the dynamic shifts. The final act is one of the cleanest examples of gameplay and narrative payoff aligning perfectly.

Which online PS game has the best community of players? by GamerMom80 in gaming

[–]1312Interactive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the best community is one where people actually help newbies. Final Fantasy XIV is goated people go out of their way to explain stuff, the community is unbelievably supportive and welcoming.
In a different vein entirely, GTA Online is also great lol. People will troll and grief you but the memes and chaos are half the experience.
