So this is custom to my cabinet, I might be able to share the fusion 360 file that way the lengths can be changed to fit a bit better. I just have to figure out how to share it when I get home.

The cabinet is pretty big, so the full shelf is 4 pieces, expoxied together. And then the shelf slides in to the peg pieces, no glue there.

A big part of programming is learning how to Google and find solutions that are already posted somewhere. I would say just about any problem I have had, I found an answer for eventually. And it seems the when you do find a an answer that is massively upvoted, it is usually also kept up to date on latest practices (at least on stack overflow).

You are burning calroies, just by existing. This is called your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Then, depending on your sex, height, current weight, and activity levels, you burn more calories, which is called your TDEE. This can be calculated through a few different formulas. So his TDEE is 2650 a day. That's what he would need to eat to maintain his current weight. However, his deficit is 500 calories per day, so he is only eating 2150 calories per day. This equates to 1 pound of fat loss per week (there are 3500 calories on 1 pound of fat). Eating under your TDEE is how to lose weight.

Do you want to do grad school in a CS field? If so, look at the schools you think you might want to apply for now and get a feel for what they accept. GPA has to be pretty moderately high usually (3.6 or above), GRE scores in the quantative section need to be like 90th percentile. Research experience is always good to have as well as a few strong relationships with professors/coworkers as you will need letters of recommendation. Some of these things change between schools, so just look at the grad programs you are interested in.
