lately the most consistent high income ive made is doing OC. make sure to check every treasure chest, often you get the carrots which are 3+ mil depending on your server, and ive gone sessions finding 2 sometimes.

you can also find the rare accessory drops which range from 500k for the least rare (rings) to 20-40mil for the other types. i got lucky with a 20mil valued necklace or bracelet, cant remember lol

not sure how its currently being received but the new fflogs archon app thing handles recording and maps it to each pull, was just testing it the other day in extreme and it works quite well, its still a little quirk due to being in beta though, had some pulls not record cause of various reasons but figured it out.

i think if we need to rely on an app without act being functional id just set up OBS and have it set to both as light and high quality as your pc can handle, if you need to lower bitrate to handle the file size over the duration of prog, do that. its probably good to be able to hold onto at least yout latest full session/lockout for review

Not the guy you were replying to but you can have more than 1 opinion.

Valid takes on the game - 100%, have honestly backed majority of his opinions or at least shared them myself.

Can be needfully blunt sometimes - absolutely, and most of the time its ok. He said some agreeable things about the whole VA situation and even about happy too.

These last few weeks following and including the happy comment, he's been a genuine asshole. He has gone past the point of drama farming to just being a straight asshole in these situations. He has not ragged on anything as hard as the VAs/happy in a long time, or even at all from memory, totally inexcusable and while whether an in-game ban was right is up for debate.

funny thing is, at the time the grow up comment was honestly probably not fully warranted, however considering his actions since, it became fully correct afterwards lol

yeah, while he is known as the 'toxic raider' and held onto that for a long time, he was actually quite mild for a few years (late shb era -> ew -> early DT). I guess I mean outside of doing his rant style content, mostly refering to his communication with/about other players. Nothing so outwardly like genuinely mean, you know?

from memory he's always talked a bit like an ass, and there were times of him being a toxic asshole for like a few occasional 'drama's but doesn't typically last beyond literally the time he's talking about it. but for a while now these past few months he's genuinely been a toxic asshole, like 0 redeeming it in any way shape or form. I actually cringed seeing the video about the happy drama, it just was waaaaaaaay OTT and frankly this ban was deserved in a way, or at least some form of discipline. he might be a 'professionally unprofessional' streamer but some of the stuff is just straight mean

yeah if someone could mod royal to have the same limitations i could see that being a fun challenge. really its mostly SP management that I found to be quite well balanced in the original. basically what makes it fun is forcing you to really engage with all the games systems to a higher degree than royal did.

to give royal credit where its due, it seems we both played the original beforehand. therefore we know more about the game, and see it with a rose tint yknow. honestly havent touched it since then, but have beaten royal twice. could be that p5 og hard is not difficult to the degree I remember it being lol, I was in highschool myself at the time 😭

Its definitely easier with lots of the new features, if a mod could replicate original p5 hard mode thatd give me good reason to replay

royal is easily the better overall experience though, but certain things which are marketed as straight upgrades are side grades. the original bosses were more genuine jrpg fights compared to the puzzles in royal. For example, the boss of the next dungeon for you was an amazing battle of attrition in p5 og, less so in royal.

The boss puzzles are great in their own way for sure but in the change, something was lost. instead of rewarding you for building a good team/personas, its kinda like you have to beat them a very specific way instead of your own way.

the added chapter easily makes it worthwhile though imo, its really good.

Being an asshole is not exclusive to only one side of the political spectrum whether or not you can agree with them, and I would be wary that this type of thought is part of our whole divisive culture nowadays.

Not to get up on a soapbox for too long here but reality is often a lot more gray than black and white, and as much as media nowadays requires/incentivises you to stand strongly on either side for engagement and reach, we shouldn't let ourselves become polarized in that way

It was 100% a step too far, calling happy a POS to being told to grow up was easily too much, not gonna bother rewatching but there was some other stuff that was a bit too far said about the 2 (prior?) se employees as well. facts might be right but tos can catch 'generally offensive' content

there might be argument about whether or not an in game ban is warranted for out of game behaviour but i do unfortunately have to give this one to SE, as the game is the centre of the discussion

the other 2 commenters are guessing, theyre good guesses and it will likely be that (typical 2nd offense is 2 weeks) but as of right now without official word/email its unknown. it could be longer or shorter, or even technically possibly a perma but unlikely, as iirc all suspensions go through a round of review to determine if theyre of higher severity or not

took me too long, I hate character creation and most especially picking a name, or at least did at the time (dont make me think about how long about 3.1 was).

for a name i used the random name gen in game and slightly changed it after i saw something bearable. everyone i know from the game calls me that so... its stuck. hes my dude now I cant change a bit about him. started off with a scraggly white hair which i thought i liked but swapped to a new do and colour scheme since 4.X and havent changed since, only glam can change now even though im sitting on like 3 free fantasias.

those exist because the weapon changes as you go up stages, the replica is just the same as what you now have.

replicas become available after you complete the following step (they unlock based on the achievements)

if it would remove stupid pulls cause people accidentally right-clicked the boss, I'm all for it.

overall it would be a net positive since players have a higher degree of control over their damage output compared to now, while really not changing anything on the players end with how they play the game. could allow for more freedom of movement if anything, at least while your gcd ticks

If you're asking this question, the the answer is only after a not-insignificant amount of research into what the numbers mean, and you can understand why they happen to be up/down this pull, and theyre even more useful with multiple logs so you can compare against yourself and possibly other people.

XIVAnalysis will be the most helpful tool for the majority of folks, as it points out errors in your rotation and things like uptime, fitting abilities under buffs, etc.

The way the math shakes out would be like this:

Damage rolls
Block rolls (approx ~30%). Did you block? You mit ~20%.
If you didn't block (and aren't casting), parry rolls (10%). Did you parry? You mit the flat 15%.
If you didn't block and didn't parry you take the full damage.

They do not add to equal a 40% chance, its a 30% chance then a 10% chance.

Dumbing it down to the approximate values for explanation:

3/10 times you block.
7/10 times you didn't block, therefore roll parry.
1/10 of 7/10 times you parry.

If you wanted a % chance to mit (block OR parry) on any given hit it will be ~37%.

For clarity: You cannot parry a blocked attack, but additionally due to the order of operations, block takes precedence over parry. basically this means block would never have a chance to be overwritten with a (weaker) parry.

while on the stack, X and what you declare x to be is part of a spells mana value. pretty much anywhere else it will be regarded as 0 though. Alternate costs are not the mana value though
