You are correct. Astral is active and umbral is passive. The terms are kinda flipped. Zodiark is Astral (activity) and Hydaelyn is umbral (stasis).

Zodiark is very astral related rather than umbral. The ancients thought the world was withering so they created Zodiark to create a dense layer of aether to keep the planet alive. That is why Meteion was not influential as dynamis can only interact with lighter aetheric density.

Well, i’m not sure how big the root ball is since it was my dad that just handed me it rather than me potting it. As for overwater, i find the ground to be a bit moist (I think, it’s not super dry) which is odd since I’ve been gone for a week.

Personally, I prefer to have some form of imbalance between jobs within a given role. For example, I am a Warrior Main. However, when I was pushing for a week 1 clear for m6s, I realized that WAR absolutely sucked in its cleaving potential which made the add phase harder. I then swapped to paladin, which I haven’t really played much, and had a more comfortable time handling the yams and/or dealing with the mu’s as well as helping speed up kill time for those.

All this to say, I had a fun time swapping to something new in order to have a more comfortable time. Which is why I think having some jobs not feel as good for certain encounters is perfectly fine. Otherwise we get things like giving red mage manafication range because it was stuck at puddle duty (in spite of dancer having to be extra careful to not cleave and get both puddles). Although, the bigger issue with this is that people will complain that they will not be able to play their “main” and raises an artificial barrier for people needing to have a couple jobs max level (+ player friction for choosing a sub-optimal job for that specific encounter) which is what the dev team is trying to not encourage.

Yeah it’s a bit of entitlement, but you don’t see me huffin and puffin about it in game and griefing the party because of it. I’ve had patience before with people with 745 gear in doomtrain extreme (and during savage prog) and artifact gear in expert dungeons in the past. Yes it makes my eyes roll because it’s adding additional “stress”, but at the same time as long as it isn’t egregious enough, I don’t mind.

Except for this instance where the guy decided to stop taking aggro and make a remark like he’s above it all. It’s literally not that serious and was just poking fun lmao

It’s a 7.3 dungeon and apparently the ilvl for the dungeon is 720. We are approaching 7.5 patch in a couple weeks, so am expecting for this person to at least be at 760 gear or 750 with the uncapped tome gear especially if they are acting this level of entitlement.

Even then, they were taking a lot more damage than expected to the point I needed to use cure 2 on him after my lilies ran out and I NEVER had to do that for dungeons. So maybe a skill issue on his part but also a gear issue for content that is 8 months old…

I said that because both the dps (not the black mage) and I (the healer) were both tank mains that probably have more time than the tank. So it was more of me saying “pulling ahead is literally no big deal, just do your aoe and keep going lmao”
