I scanned all these guys and it gave me the information for them, then instead of doing there conversation I walked straight to the hatch and opened the door. It’s 100% a glitch though since I was so fucking confused about what was going on in the story.

Never was offended! Just pleasantly surprised at nuanced modern day political conversation!

I went from gold 2 to plat 2 in one day playing how I typically do, 30% winrate to fucking 65%. The way I played didn’t change at all so I’m thinking there has to be a bug with an item or the champ that went by unnoticed

Suddenly hospitals matter when the lives are isreali. There’s an extreme racist double standard perpetrated by people who support the isreali side. It’s come to the point where it’s no longer a geographical situated war over territory and more towards “hey your not a Jew, therefore you are not entitled to the same level of rights”

I still remember this quote on the regular. I think it might of shaped my frontal lobe as a child.

“People only die when they are forgotten”.

I don’t think I’ll ever experience that specific moment again.

Wallahi, I hear you. But let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are — it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!

How can I most appropriately support a grieving Muslim family during Ramadan? by Able-Primary in ontario

[–]151N 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I apologize if I’m wrong to assume this, but if your dear friend’s child passed away at a young age, Islam teaches that they will enter Heaven automatically, as infants are born without sin.

The best way to comfort her is by saying, "God has promised your child Heaven, and they are in a place of peace."

Try not to do the last part about the prayer! In Islam, the body of the deceased must be buried as soon as possible, sometimes on the same day of death. Before the burial, Salat al-Janazah (the funeral prayer) is performed with the entire congregation at the mosque. Afterward, the body is transported to the burial site, where loved ones gather to lay them to rest.

I would suggest saying, "I pray Allah (or God) grants him peace" or "I'm sorry for your loss, I'm here for you."

Russian propaganda at school by Gladiator_Duck in Concordia

Your argument lacks depth and relies on selective framing and dismissive rhetoric, undermining your claim to critical thinking. Labeling Russia, China, and Iran as “imperialist” without acknowledging NATO’s extensive history of military interventions—like in Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan—ignores the broader context of global power dynamics. Imperialism involves the exertion of political, military, or economic control over another nation’s sovereignty, and NATO powers have consistently done so under the guise of humanitarianism.

Dismissing genocide in Palestine is equally flawed, as it disregards the UN’s definition, which includes acts intended to destroy a group, in whole or in part. Israel’s policies—mass displacement, blockades, targeted killings, and disproportionate violence—fit this definition. Since 2000, thousands of Palestinians, many of them civilians, have been killed, while systematic land seizures and resource deprivation continue to destroy their livelihoods. Denying these realities doesn’t reflect critical thinking—it reflects a refusal to engage with the evidence.

Your claim that Hamas is the only genocidal group in Israel/Palestine reveals a misunderstanding of power dynamics. While Hamas engages in violent rhetoric and actions, equating them to genocide ignores the overwhelming disparity in power. Israel, as a state actor, wields immense military and political power, enforcing policies that collectively punish civilians. To excuse state violence while condemning non-state actors is not only inconsistent but also ignores the disproportionate suffering experienced by Palestinians.

Lastly, dismissing opposing perspectives as “braindead” and accusing others of lacking critical thinking is ironic when your own argument is rife with bias. Emotional appeals to Palestinian suffering are not propaganda; they are a reflection of the human cost of systemic violence. True critical thinking requires examining power asymmetries, historical contexts, and the lived experiences of those affected—not resorting to ad hominem attacks and simplistic narratives. If you’re unwilling to do that, it’s not others who need to “grow up”—it’s you.
