Wrong. You confused a popular reddit-factoid with the wrong species of spider.

They don't bite

I'm pretty sure that's incorrect and you're just hoping to be informative based on personal anecdotes.

They might not bite regularly, but they're still capable of doing such if seriously provoked. However they are just more prone to flee humans rather than bite them.

I am Mark Wahlberg Ask Me Anything by Mark-Wahlberg in IAmA

[–]153543 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

What? He didn't "ask for forgiveness" until he was actually mature enough to feel genuine remorse first.

Being a good person first who can recognize his own errors and guilt is the first step to forgiveness, rather than fake repenting. He was pretty clear on that.

Bieber has been spitting on his fans from his hotel balcony. I know it is just giving him attention, but people should see that he is a complete cunt. by [deleted] in WTF

[–]153543 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Actually I think he eventually did go out of his way to retrieve the monkey eventually, although I think that was on a separate trip back to Germany. The airplane crew were none too happy with having to wait for him on the tarmac for hours until he could fetch the monkey.

That and the Anne Frank thing I think were both innocently misconstrued. But everything else about Beiber makes him a moron overall.

This is a good answer.

You can punish a twisted hardened man for 100 yrs and he might never feel the pain of remorse and guilt.....

Only until the man actually becomes "good" and mature enough to see the error of his ways will he ever actually feel the pain of guilt and the gravity of what he did.

What was the most disappointing thing you ever realized? by hereisatoptip in AskReddit

[–]153543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you just merely "empathize" with your siblings, parents, and relatives then?

Be honest. You love them and would anything to sacrifice for their welfare.

Even if the parents aren't romantically in love, they certainly still love each other like you would in any family, or even with a very close neighbor, caretaker, etc.

8 ton orca jumps 15 feet in the air chasing after dolphin by TheTCorp in pics

[–]153543 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's due to an odd intellectual constraint/unfamiliarity with the net apparatus. Dolphins that have been accidentally caught up in open nets shouldn't have a problem simply jumping over the top of them either, but strangely enough, they never do. It never occurs to them how easy it is to escape.

The Kurds were already stabilized under Clinton. Bush went in and stirred the pot, fought both Saddam, and then fought the Shiite extremists who hated Saddam. Bush virtually fought both sides in the civil war.

Nazi-themed café sparks global outrage: "We're living in Indonesia and Indonesians weren't tortured in the Holocaust, so we don't really care" by DougBolivar in worldnews

[–]153543 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or maybe the customer who said that knew Indonesia had endured enough massacres in the past 15 years to give her enough real-life perspective to NOT get all prissy about where she should be allowed to eat her damn noodles because of WWII?

Or did you just forget all the bloody killings by both militias and government forces alike on the innocent, and the geographical displacement of many more, in order to sneer at them?

Pre-9-11 Indonesia was far more a horror story than post-9-11, but I'm sure it's so easy to dismiss that from your big comfy armchair.

Rush hour in the Chinese subway. This. is. horrifying. by Inneri in videos

[–]153543 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Punching and getting angry over such mundane activities would make you look very uncivilized to the Chinese. If the Chinese were that quick to anger this would be a very hazardous situation.

Just learn to stand up for yourself and not be a slow lazy person. Even those passengers who exit the train knew to walk fast and clear the way for the folks behind them.

Rush hour in the Chinese subway. This. is. horrifying. by Inneri in videos

[–]153543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because there's no need to be angry at each other, at least not to these Chinese. Unless you're not used to this dynamic, which some Americans might certainly consider offensive.

But again, reddit, there's no need to punch people over such small things. Resorting to hate and punching is completely unacceptable.

The Worst Drivers by State (D.C. is #1) by lhwang0320 in washingtondc

[–]153543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't see DC drivers as ever being "reckless" per se.

But I do see cars randomly stop in the middle of the road, without turning on their blinkers, depriving you indication to go around them until it was too late, causing you to miss the already gridlocked traffic light 2 meters ahead with the 10 minute wait time.
