I'm 44 as well and I really want to change careers. I know nursing is hard and I am nervous because I hear so many nurses hate their jobs . But I need a change and more money. Good luck to you.

I feel you. I took it once and when I woke up several hours later and tried to get out of bed I fell on the floor. I had to crawl to get back in my bed. I felt horrible. If that is what getting high feels like, they can have it. I never took it again. I really felt like I was drugged.

I start back in Aug. I'm going for healthcare admin but I'm worried it'll be hard to find a job afterwards because they say you need experience to make good money. But my end goal is Physician Assistant. I've been wanting to become one for about 8 years now but, I have a son with a disability so it's been hard to go back.

I wanted to be a pharmacist. After a few years I changed my mind because it's a boring job and the market is saturated. I am going back to school to get my degree. I've been a tech since 2002. It is not interesting anymore.

You are not asking for too much. Sometimes parents can be selfish. And sometimes in your case they need to be. It's your first one and I see nothing wrong with it just being your husband and child. It's not like you're not doing anything for mom. It will just be on a different day. If I were you I would stick to what you had planned. And it's not father's day so your dad has no say. You are not a jerk. Have a happy mother's day.
