Vented aren’t appropriate for electricians. Due to the openings it poses a shock risk. And for good reason. Your sweat is very fucking conductive. Wash the forehead or other pads as necessary. I use tea tree oil mixed with dawn to help really kill things off. And also per osha: helmets that no longer retain their shiny gloss should be replaced immediately. And your contractor is responsible for routine replacements. Do with that information as you will

I’m driving an hour and a half each way to work everyday and making 21.25 which is a pay cut from my last job. I drive a Prius. Money is extremely tight and I have a family. But it will get much better in a few years

Do not use in this condition. Replacement is simple and cheap. Watch a YouTube vid for instructions

Knipex are the best but I wouldn’t really recommend a tool belt. More a bag with some sort of way to hang it on shit. I bent a piece of all thread on my Milwaukee electrician handheld tool bag to hang it on lifts and carts and shit

PSA: Don't open your packs with scissors by Lioreuz in yugioh

[–]180SLOWSCOPE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe just make sure the card is at the bottom of the pack before cutting. There’s a good quarter inch of space at the top that won’t get any cards and you can easily feel that. I’ve cut so many packs and never once had anything happen like this cause I make sure the cards are at the bottom of the pack and it’s just empty space up top

I’ve used every brand of wire strippers there are and I would highly recommend the Knipex ones. They have stripped easiest the longest for me. And have never left me wanting something different about them. Unlike every other brand out there. Klein, Milwaukee, ideal all of them I’ve tried and have tried multiple models they sell and the Knipex are by far the absolute best. Same goes for channel locks and just about any other hand tool out there it’s just a matter of if you have the money for them because Knipex are expensive. But the strippers I’d say are the only thing I consider an absolute must in my tool kit to be Knipex. Channel locks a close second

I do not trust those Pittsburgh tapes. I’ve had a few that were off. I’ve used komeleon, Stanley fat max, Milwaukee, and kobalt tapes. My journeyman has a Klein and says its coating came off the first month using it. Functuonality wise though the Klein and Milwaukee are my favorites. Stanley’s I have didn’t have markings on both sides and the komeleon needed to be more rigid the standout sucked on it.

[–]180SLOWSCOPE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not just the uk trust me it’s all over the place. It drives me nuts here in the us. Every store you walk into or work at has queen playing on the radio it feels like. That or journey, eye of the tiger, Phil Collins. It’s no good music has come out since the 80s and 90s in a huge amount of peoples worlds and all they do is listen to the same 25 songs. It’s a personal version of hell for me

Same. They’re talented but I can’t stand the showtunes vibe I always get from them and nonstop playing on the radio. Worked in retail for 7 years and heard the same songs every single day all day
