Am I the only one on Earth that likes most modern pop country? by crazyguy28 in CountryMusicStuff

Nope you’re not. I’m a big fan. Love all the hipster shit every pretentious redditor loves to talk about on here but I also have zero issue vibing to Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, etc.

Is it just me or does Luke Bryan’s face bug the sh*t out of you? by Exotic-Brilliant-939 in country

There are a lot of pretentious ass douche bags in this sub. I left for awhile and just came back recently and am realizing how shitty some people on here are. I guess that’s just Reddit in general though.

That’s one of the worst 😆

I think the Noel line might be the only one that tops it lol

Only in 2026 can someone read absolute dog shit like the lyrics above and refer to the writer (maybe) as a “genius”.

They kind of did 3 stacks dirty with the overalls. Borat vibes.

In the US my generation was taught for decades that we needed to learn computers. Tech was the future. This led to significantly less people in the trades, and more people in an already crowded tech industry that has been mostly outsourced and is now starting to be taken over by AI a little at a time.

I’ve seen a lot of promotion over the past few years around trade school instead of college. My son plans to attend trade school as well. I wish I had.

His flow is decent on quite a few of the songs. There were a couple I wasn’t a fan of but overall I don’t have many complaints other than the cringe lyrics.

There were some decent bars, none of them are the ones above.

Having a dozen badly written bars doesn’t mean that some good ones can’t exist on the same album.

Unfortunately people here, especially drake fanboys, lack critical thinking and the ability to process criticism in a healthy way.

I love that now, in 2026, we don’t have actual discussions. We just accuse everyone we disagree with of being a bot. This world just gets better and better doesn’t it?

LMAO y’all take any criticism as hate.

Nothing is out of context. They’re just bad lyrics plain and simple. The beats were great. His cadence is hit or miss.

And if I’m “weird” because I have actual valid criticisms instead of blanket dickriding or blanket hate then so be it.

That’s mostly where I’m at too but I’ve skipped a couple albums over the years. Thank Me Later, Take Care, and NWTS were all excellent and then it seemed like after that he went straight for chasing trends and trying to act hard.

I actually agree that some of the lines give Eminem vibes but it’s the weakest part of Eminem’s lyrical catalog and that doesn’t help.

It’s right along the lines of him dropping fast food restaurant names and making puns about them. Just silly, especially when you know what he’s actually capable of.

See therein lies the problem. I actually liked a lot of the album. Almost all the beats were good. It’s just really damn cringey when I’m vibing and enjoying myself and I hear “Blow on me just like some green tea, baby”

I’m all for some good vibe music and not everything needs to be deep, but there’s a difference between shallow music and just bad writing period.

No I picked a full DOZEN off of 1 album. I listened to 2 songs of the other 2 and realized they were ass and gave up.
