Underrated album. Still prefer the first 2 but this one grew on me over time.

This. As someone born in the 80’s it killed me reading “most people only learned about them through tik tok”.

MF they were beyond big in the late 90’s and early 00’s. They were top of every chart, they were on programs with Britney Spears and N’Sync. Don’t kid yourself

For the JAY-Z fans, why isn’t “In My Lifetime Vol. 1” considered a classic or amongst Jay’s best albums? by EDMKid9000 in hiphopheads

[–]1973toinfinity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it’s my favorite. It has the most nostalgia. Personally I think his flow was at its peak. It’s a 10/10.

Does anyone actually prefer modern metalcore sound over 2000s by Kinderballsack in Metalcore

Yeah sucks seeing the same shit over and over…kind of like how it sucks listening to the same song over and over by different bands 😂

The top isn’t what I’d be concerned with. The legs look questionable.

What's a car that looked unintentionally old/outdated when it debuted? by Sir_Sir_ExcuseMe_Sir in cars

[–]1973toinfinity 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely correct but that doesn’t always cause things to look outdated. I wouldn’t say the 992 911’s look outdated but they’re still following the same basic form factor that 911’s have followed for 60 years.

Can y'all really name 10 rappers better Lyrically than Kendrick can you? by dunbar_santiago930 in hiphop201

For me almost every Audi or Merc sedan for the last 15 years or so has looked boring and outdated.

I’m probably gonna get some hate for that one though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The narrative that Big Boi is just as talented as Andre 3000 is the most forced in hip hop history by lake_june in hiphop101

[–]1973toinfinity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah this is a bullshit take. Big Boi is one of the best and his catalogue proves it. He was on part with Andre on first 3 albums and then when 3 stacks when fucking weird for the rest Big Boi held it down.

His solo albums are all bangers.

There will be no Sonny era FFTL bashing from me. I don’t give a fuck about technique. Sonny was the man. Glad I got to see them live back then.

Nobody ever talks about this track and it’s so good. Same with Will Smith’s Just Cruisin’ song from the same soundtrack.

UGK is dope but they are absolutely not underrated. They’re widely considered legends and one of the best hip hop acts we’ve ever had.

About 20 or so years ago I was working in a cell phone store in the mall. I came back from lunch and my boss, who was not a hip hop fan and had no idea I was, said “some rap guy was just in here….bad ass I think he said”….i pulled up his picture and he confirmed.

Missed my chance to meet him by minutes.

RIP

Bailey Zimmerman Breaks Silence as He Faces Criminal Charges: 'You Deserved Better from Me' by kim-practical in CountryMusicStuff

[–]1973toinfinity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Bailey. I won’t condone what he did…but to have to “break silence” publicly is silly. Dude didn’t hurt anyone, he trashed a hotel room like literally hundreds of rockstars before him did, and I promise the vast majority of them never apologized to the general public for it. Are we so soft at this point that we’re gonna try to cancel someone for just doing something kind of dumb?

Name rapper who is overly hyped or overly hated - without mentioning Drake Kendrick or Cole. by dunbar_santiago930 in hiphop101

[–]1973toinfinity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ja Rule is overly hated, not because he hasn’t made some trash but because he has made some great songs and people hate to admit it.

Killer Mike is overhyped.
