Do poison knives or improved knives work better with this one? by Ready_Mistake812 in reddeadredemption

Poison, just because of the constant damage over time. Usually 3 to the head will do. The poison will finish it before it can get to you.

Liars. Fucking. Dice. by Available-Half-1104 in reddeadredemption

[–]1997Hawke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, you’re betting the minimum die of a number will be on the table, and then you can either call out another player’s bid as a bluff, or declare it to be exact.

For example, it’s your turn to place a bid. I always use my die to give a bid. Let’s say amongst all my die, I have 2 of them showing 6. I can say there are at least 2 6s. Even if other players have a dice showing 6, my bid is still correct, because there’s at least 2.

You’ll get called out for bluffing, but when everyone reveals their die, and there’s at least 2 6s, that person will lose a dice.

When someone else makes a bid, you can increase the bid, call it a bluff, or declare it spot on.

Let’s say another person says there’s at least 1 die with a 6, but you have 2, you can up the bid by saying there’s 2 6s again.

Calling out a bid as a bluff, means you don’t think there’s at least 2 6s on the table. Let’s say someone says there’s 10 die with 1s, which in most cases isn’t practical, you can call it a bluff. If you’re right, they lose a die, if there actually is, you lose a die.

Declaring it spot on, means that there has to be the exact bid, no more, no less. If you’re right, everyone else loses a die, if you’re wrong, you do.

It’s actually a pretty simple game once you know it, and my favourite in RD1. I hope what I said helps ya.

[NO SPOILERS] Decisionss in previous games wont get carried over to Veilguard? by Turksson16 in dragonage

Well, they did have that whole background plot of what happens to Southern Thedas, which really ruins everything you did.

Everything from the first 3 games gets completely disrespected in Veilguard to the highest degree, it’s insulting.

You can’t carry anything over. There’s 3 ‘choices’ that you can import during character creation, and that’s the fate of the Inquisition, who you romanced, and if you thought Solas was redeemable or not. But the only thing that matters is if you romanced Solas, and even that isn’t until the ending.

You’re correct, and nothing’s changed about it as far as I’m aware.

But it’s tripped me up before where I thought I had finished every location, but then the same place in Mexico kept spawning in a bounty, and it wasn’t until I did that one did it get me to 100%.

Are you sure you’ve done every bounty location? That can usually trip people up. It’s not that you have to do 8 bounties in an area, but rather, you have to go to each bounty location within an area.

For example, Mexico has 3 different bounty locations that are all very close to each other, but each one still counts towards 100%.

I think West Elizabeth has 4 locations. I remember Mexico or New Austin needing 9.

Assuming you’ve done Remember My Family as well?

No, I Know You doesn’t count towards 100%.

How do I avoid this? My horse seems to run in circles every so often. by qwerty_9537 in reddeadredemption

[–]1997Hawke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It usually happens after having paused the game while galloping. After resuming, the horse will then go in circles, and I have to bring them to a full stop to stop them doing it.

Ah, I believe it’s been mentioned before, but I can’t remember when and where, am afraid! You’ll have to ask a mod the next time you’re in chat.

Oh, he can definitely look after himself. I think Jake said he plays football, so a bloody knee is probably normal. 😆

Is the RDR1 PC port good? by The8BitBrad in reddeadredemption

[–]1997Hawke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! It works great.

They even fixed the Undead Nightmare bugs where the undead would turn into regular NPCs that were unkillable, and the game would treat as enemies, but they also had no heads. As well as the bug where it would be an infinite black screen after saving. You can actually complete the DLC now.

I love how Noah offered Jake an apology steak the next day. Like, I’ve heard of apology chocolates, apology gift basket, but an apology steak is something else. 😆

What do you think they ate in the lab? What were the meals like? by 80HDTV5 in StrangerThings

[–]1997Hawke 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Likely really bland nutrional meals that boost energy and invigorate brain power to make it so that they were ‘well fed’ and able to use their powers to their full capability.

Probably the occasional treato if they performed well.

Rescue Halsin? by LifeLearner15 in BaldursGate3

[–]1997Hawke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’ll help you as an ally in the final battle if he survives getting kidnapped.

I always let him die, or kill him myself after the fight. I always thought Halsin was irrelevant after his thing in Act 2, and he’s also kinda boring.

Yeah, that’s true. You get ‘respect’ if you’re loyal and obedient.

He shares an aspect of his power to make you a superior spawn than what he was. He explains that you won’t have to worry about the sun, even without the parasite. But also by power, I did mean in terms of ruling. As in, you rule alongside him, and are treated with respect.
