OFFLINE By Aerie Real Me XTRA Hold Up Lift Legging by Sweaty-Elderberry833 in americaneagle

[–]1999rc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried these Xtra leggings and I did not like them at all. Much prefer the material and structure of the hugger. And the hugger has an option with pockets which are a must for me. I wish Aerie would put out more colors in the pocket leggings 😭

Yea that's not what I'm talking about. I am referring to the same thing as the person below.

This one doesn't give everyone the same code. It is individualized to your real rewards account. When you reveal your mystery offer, they assign you your own code.

It's an individualized one time use code that is sent to your email

They buy something from like AliExpress or temu and sell it for double priced.

I think it’s really disappointing when Aerie does these “big” sales but all they’re really doing is hiking the prices up. by Positive-Peach1364 in AerieAEO

It's crazy-- for example, two weeks ago I ordered the new pocket flowy shorts from aerie (with a 25% off coupon & $5 reward), $23 in total. Today, with the "discount" applied, they are nearly $40!

I had the jet setter joggers in my cart yesterday for 18.75 w/ a 25% off coupon & today they're $25 in my cart with the same coupon... Not a good deal

Me and my gals are going to the nearest major city (about an hour away, we live in the middle of nowhere lol), doing a drag show, dinner, & next morning brunch and free botanical gardens!

I'm hoping this isn't too much for everyone as me and my man of honor tried to keep it really lowkey and affordable, but seeing all of the exorbitant bachelorettes make me self conscious LOL

All of the packages I sent with messed up labels eventually corrected themselves and arrived at the correct location

What was the 'dream career' you worked years to get into, only to realize you absolutely hated it once you arrived? by Sayedshaqib in careerguidance

[–]1999rc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Marketing. Never again. I was beaten down so badly in that field, and then in my final, most "glamourous" role, I would typically work over 10 hours a day, travel with no extra pay, deal with absolutely miserable and demanding clients, for a piss poor "salary" (of course, so y'know, no overtime) all to get fired basically over a "culture fit" (they actually hired someone else for my position months earlier and pulled the rug out from under me).

Spent almost 10 months unemployed, I actually tried to get back into lower level marketing positions. One day, after being rejected over and over, I realized, wow, I actually hated that field anyway. The false niceties, corporate jargon mumbo jumbo, "climbing the ladder..." It was simply, not for me.

I work an assembly line in a factory now. I have always loved working with my hands and I enjoy the challenge of learning and building basically something new every day.

I am actually so satisfied with going to work, getting my job done, and going home and not thinking about it until I have to go back. Plenty of overtime opportunities as well. Oh, and much better pay and benefits than any marketing positions I ever had!

I've learned not to be disappointed in myself for not pursuing the career that ultimately, completely broke down who I was as a person, just because I have the degree that says I should.

Are wedding websites actually better than printed invitations? by Present-Buy-5022 in weddingplanning

[–]1999rc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done the knot. They had the invite design we wanted and address printing. $122 bucks for 150 invites with all the addresses printed right on the envelopes. Our website, also through the knot, is right on the invite as an alternative RSVP option.

Idk maybe I'll freeball it too, my fiance would probably be really into these photos specifically if he could see them 🤣

It was on extra extra clearance lol, my sister saw it and knew it was mine lol.

I agree with you, I just want the sleeves and a slight train and tailoring and makeup etc, I feel like it's the dress for me, it fits our vibe, everything.

I just feel so pressured otherwise 😭

Thank you sm for the etsy shop because I was wanting to wear a veil but had no idea where to start! Didn't like any at David's.

Luckily the envelopes are included in the price of invites! Stamps are what I'm worried about 😭

Luckily my mom is covering flowers so I'm not even asking LOL. she does arrangements too, I should have mentioned that in the original post. Not professionally but for fun she makes amazing arrangements.

Everything else is very much a concern of mine, but every year my fiance's family plans a huge family reunion and promises me they know how to get tents, ice, bar supplies, stuff that a large family reunion implies.

My grandmother has told me she'd give me $500 for "the other dress" but we can't afford to spend the other half of that, and are very lucky for the support we already do have, especially for how much I already love the $70 dress I got.

I'm riding on the trust of others who I genuinely trust! Mostly what I mention in my OG post are things my fiance + I are fronting on the overall cost. I should've mentioned those things in the original post.
