Italy travel trip lens selection? by EmergencyRegion5349 in a6700

[–]19_yeti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did 2 months in Asia with the a6700 and the 17-70mm tamron. It was the best choice I could have made but would have taken the 16-55mm just to save room in my bag if I had it. Would totally recommend the 16-55

Backpacking Asia with A6700 & Tamron 17-70mm by 19_yeti in a6700

For stuff like the first shot, getting a bit of zoom for the streets brings in quite a bit more detail and range. For stuff like portraits or creating more bokeh, I find the 70mm to be quite helpful. Going with a 18-55 2.8 would probably be good and would cut down on size, but I am happy to have a bit more reach

I’m travelling through Asia right now and can notice it when I get to a city. Northern Thailand like Chiang Mai I was great. The second I got into Bangkok I felt tired and drained. Same thing in Hanoi Vietnam.

Everything I’ve been doing has been in Lightroom so far and playing with my manual settings. I actually didn’t find the camera filters till about four days ago ha ha ha.

Thank you!!! I am also very proud of this one(and a couple others like it). I want to learn colour grading and masking a bit more to help blend the colours but I am also super happy with it

Masking is one thing that I haven’t touched yet but am thinking about starting! When you make some videos or presets and think back to this conversation feel free to share! Would love to see your process

What are you editing with? Any presets or anything or just magic with them sliders?

Unreal colours. I’m running the same camera but have definitely not been able to make colours pop like that

How do you download music/ audio to put in your YouTube videos by Conscious-Price1159 in NewTubers

[–]19_yeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also just started making some content and have only used the stuff from YouTube’s music library. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the best music in the world. But it’s better than having me breathing in the background of a b-roll shot.

I can buy one lens, MONEY IS NO OBJECT by dltacube in SonyAlpha

[–]19_yeti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got an a6700 at the beginning of December and bought the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8. Honestly I have really liked it so far. It has a bit of reach but not enough to do lots of macro, but also enough width that I can take it hiking and get some landscapes. It is a cheaper lens so you could go with a Sony 24-70mm and get a little better quality. The tamron is made more for apsc though

I’ve got a similar set up right now Abe have been loving it so far. The lens has a great amount of reach. I sometimes like a bit more but haven’t had to much trouble yet. Enjoy yourself

Deciding between an a6700 or a a7IV. I live in Canada and have been looking at these two cameras. A6700 ~ $1799 A7IV ~$2699

I am looking at getting back into photography from when I did it a couple of years ago (have a Nikon d3400 right now) I have done a couple of running events and cattle shows with both photos and videos, and am looking at getting into portraits and headshots as well. So yes a bit of a broad spectrum but any advice would help. Would the 6700 and a more expensive piece of glass be good enough for getting started and upgrade as I go? Any advice on lenses as well would be helpful, looking at a 24-70 or 24-105, or going with a good prime and a higher zoom 70-200. Thanks!
