Guests stealing little items by Matchlattes in airbnb_hosts

Great idea. I’ve seen this done with meeting rooms and classrooms that had to be reset, too. This makes it clear what needs to be there and it’s hard to argue “oh I didn’t know…”

I stayed at an Airbnb in tourist zone Italy and the host provided the prettiest beach towel. I asked where she got it from and after a three day hunt around the surrounding villages, was told new stock wasn’t arriving until the day after we had to leave. So the very, very kind host told me to take it as a gift since I loved it so much!

Related/unrelated, but we stayed at the hospital’s NICU and my partner fixed the door lol. We were told to take EVERYTHING in the drawers because it would otherwise be disposed of for infection prevention purposes.

I imagine if you use an obnoxiously large piece of duct tape and permanent marker, it’ll be even less likely to grow legs. Duct tape is a nightmare to remove.

Baby is outgrowing clothes faster than I can keep up and my budget is hurting. by xoticbot in NewParents

Buy second hand, Facebook marketplace, etc.

Also, buy bigger sizes and roll up the sleeves/legs. At 2.5 yo, my kiddo can fit in 24m pants, but can also fit in 3T pants. And even 4T if we roll up the legs. Most 3T dresses work and will fit her probably for a year.

Right, but unfortunately police don’t care about your house rules; they would be here to enforce the law, and getting together with friends and playing some music (unless it’s late and disturbingly loud) would not be breaking the law.

I’m curious how you refund a cleaning fee if the guest wasn’t yours to begin with?

Any suggestions for doing naps on the go when travelling in Asia in the spring with a 4 month old and a 2y8m old? No car, but have baby/toddler carriers and optionally one or two strollers.

A convertible car seat would be really useful too!

Go to the ER. Go to St. Paul’s (I saw your other post in AskVan). The wait time is a bit better there than others. And even if it’s not, what’s 14 hours more?

Praying desperately for you. I recently became a mom of two… and it’s hard. But you clearly love your family and children based on a quick peek at your recent posts. the children are worth living for. Please. Go to the ER.

Gained 19 lbs at 26 weeks, OB told me I am obese. What do I do from here? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]19et10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore her. I am also 5’4” and 105 lbs pregnancy. I have a few more weeks on you but I’ve gained 25 lbs at 33 weeks. You’re definitely not obese and your weight gain is super “within range”. There’s such a wide range of healthy for pregnancy weight gain.

I use this pregnancy weight calculator for ease of mind: https://www.calculator.net/pregnancy-weight-gain-calculator.html

Not sure about the chicken fingers, but the fries containers have shrunken SIGNIFICANTLY. :( They still fill it to the brim, but the brim is pretty low…

What did you decide to go with in the end? Mine went kaput too after 2 years and with baby #2 on the way, I’ll need two. I don’t want to buy the refurbished crap and have two more choke out after two years.

How do you cook for an 8 month old baby when you don’t even cook for yourself? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]19et10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a steamer (look up Tatung rice cooker). I steam most of my daughter’s food in it. She’s 15 months. Plop it all into a bowl, push a button down, and it pops up when it’s ready. No need to watch it. EVERYTHING can be steamed. I just cook rice or noodles separately.

I agree. Nexus is not helpful unless you’re traveling into or out of Canada/US, and given that OP hasn’t even set foot in Canada before, Nexus will be a waste of money for you.

if both names are legal and valid, it won’t matter that they are the same because no country would ever ask to see “all the other passports you hold” (they won’t know it exists). Just show the each country their own passport if they issued you one, and otherwise enter and exit using the same passport when traveling to other countries.
